Welcome to the highly-rated "Current View Cottage" in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. This 1950's cottage, adorned with original charm, also offers modern conveniences. As a semi-oceanfront property, it boasts unmatched views of the ocean from the newly constructed deck, complete with hot tub, and from all windows facing the ocean. This makes it a prime vacation rental for those appreciating character, charm, and comfort.

The main level includes living room, dining area, laundry room, and well equipped kitchen with sea-glass-looking countertops, bar sink, and wine refrigerator. The first floor also features a Master bedroom with a queen bed, a wall-mounted TV, two full bathrooms, and a Bunk Room that sleeps four with a Smart TV. The upper level boasts two bedrooms, one queen and the other with a full bed, as well as a half bath. LINENS AND BATH TOWELS ARE PROVIDED for your convenience.

Beat the heat with our ground level outdoor seating area with sofa, table, chairs, picnic table, and outdoor shower with hot and cold water. A utility closet houses beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers, bikes, corn hole boards, beach toys, and a large beach cart for easy transportation to the beach.

Extras include: Beverage refrigerator, Keurig, and regular coffee maker, blender, coffee grinder, waffle maker, wi-fi throughout house, high chair, pack and play, bed linens, hair dryers in all bathrooms, starter package and few extra special treats for our guests!

Fall Getaway
We recently did an extended weekend getaway over our fall break. We had an amazing time and even though it was too cool to do a lot at the ocean , it was also nice to visit without the season craziness. The house was perfect , our hosts provided a lot of great tips, we enjoyed sitting in the hot tub on the cool nights.We will check this house first any time we plan to return to kitty hawk.

This house was great, beach access is easy but there is a lot of car traffic on the road next to the house that can seem like an unsafe walk to the beach. The host provides a lot of amenities and it's very comfortable stay. The horse tours in Corolla are a must see

Relaxing Family Vacation
We had such a wonderful week at Current View Cottage! The owners were super responsive, the house was very clean, and the location was great! The beach was a short walk but was no problem at all - still close enough to run back for snacks or the bathroom. The hot tub was perfect for our week as it was on the cooler side in the mornings and evenings. We really only used the downstairs as there were just 4 of us, but there was plenty of space for more. Thanks so much for a great week!

Cute and cozy cottage for some needed downtime
Loved staying at the cottage. Location to beach was nice- just a short walk. The place was clean and had everything you would need. Loved that sheets and towels were provided. Roomy for everyone to relax. The street in front is a cut through street so it can be busy which made it hard to go walking or running due to speed of cars. There was a walking/running lane but half the time it was covered by sand so it just made it a bit difficult to enjoy walking to places. Other than that a great relaxing week. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Kerry and David!!

Another great week!
This was our 4th year at this cottage and it has continued to hold up under new ownership. The location is very convenient to the beach access just two houses down. The storage room downstairs has plenty of supplies for playing in the surf and sand; shovels, buckets, boogie boards. Just don't forget your beach towels. We discovered Tullio's Bakery in Duck this year. Their pastries were good and worth the 15-20 minute drive up route 12. We enjoyed an airboat tour out of Manteo, which was picturesque and informative. There are plenty of other fun activities right in the area. Wild horse tours, dolphin tours, kayaking tours; we have enjoyed them all! If you like lighthouses, the Currituck and Bodie lighthouse are open and within a reasonable driving distance. I'm still waiting for Hatteras to be accessible again. We like to cook and the kitchen had everything we needed for the week. There is a flat-top electric griddle in the closet of the downstairs master which we found helpful for breakfast time! The newly installed spa and deck continue to be great features of this home and allow you to enjoy the view across the dunes to the ocean. Part of my party arrived about 20 minutes before the 4:00 check-in time and the house was not fully ready; towels not yet washed, beds not made, floor not vacuumed. They were able to easily reach the property manager who came right over. He had a great personality and attitude and got everything finished in no time.

Perfect Family Vacation!
We are two families with six kids under 12, and this was our second summer in this beach house. David and Kerry bought the house after we booked, and they were hands-on, warm, and welcoming from the start. The house is perfect for a vacation with kids - lots of space for everyone to stretch out, very close to the beach, great kitchen, and, of course, the hot tub. Having the linens, beach toys, chairs, and boogie boards already at the house made packing a breeze. We had a magical week (complete with July 4 fireworks on the beach!), and we can’t wait to go back. Thank you David and Kerry!

We had a great time staying at the View Cottage! The view from the porch overlooking the dunes and ocean was phenomenal and there was great space to relax and enjoy our company. Great Hosts, Beautiful Location
We loved our trip!! First the hosts were SO responsive and VERY helpful. Our internet wasn't working upon arrival and they hopped right on the phone and got it fixed immediately! The house has a wonderful view of the beach and is right across the street, HOWEVER for families with young children - please note you do have to walk along the street for a little bit before you can access the beach access (its not directly across the street as the pictures make it seem). It was fine and its not far, but just be aware. The hot tub with the views was amazing! The house was very clean and beds were comfortable. Please note something about the layout - the only living room/hang out space is directly attached to the main bedroom on that level (one of the queen beds) and does not have a solid door (just a door with slats/openings). So it was hard for people to continue hanging out in that space if someone wanted to go to bed. But other than that the house was very cozy. The house comes equipped with LOTS of beach stuff: carts, boogie boards, chairs, buckets/shovels, etc. The guests before us broke the pac man machine so unfortunately that was down when we got there, that was a bummer because we had wanted a game room for the kids, but the hosts had tried to fix it. There are 2 restaurants 0.5 miles away, other than that most things are 1+ mile, but the house is very central to most things and close to mini golf/go carts, etc. Overall very lovely trip!

Great Oct Getaway!!
Great beach location with fabulous deck to hang out on and see the ocean. We reached out to the host with just a couple questions and they were always very quick to respond and very nice. House was stocked as described, the beach was a short 2 min walk away, we had just about everything you could need in the kitchen. We all had a great time. Couldn’t really ask for more!
