My boyfriend and I stayed for one night as we were en route to Montréal. Our room was very clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and we were able to get a good night’s rest. The hotel is nearby to a lot of restaurants and cafés. It is also situated on the waterfront and I believe is one of the only hotels in the waterfront with a balcony feature.

It was decent, we have stayed there before. The lobby and decor needs to be updated, and the breakfast should be included. It is not worth 20 dollars a person.

We had a lovely view of the harbour front and walkable area for restaurants and shops. Hotel is a bit pricey and the parking was NOT included.

Needed to keep up with the news
A software update on the TVs was done so the one in our room stopped working on the second night. We were told someone would come and fix it but that did not happen. When we spoke to someone the following day, they said they would send someone up right away. When we returned that evening, it was still not repaired. Then we were informed that it was unfixable - was there not a spare one in the hotel? or could they not have told us this the first time they looked at it. The staff was lovely and comp'd us our parking, but I think they could have some tot he conclusion it was unfixable after the first inspection of the TV.

Nice hotel, great location! Beautiful view from our room! Great service from staff! Only disappointment was the additional fee for parking, sorry but this isn’t New York City with its limited parking space! It’s cute, quaint Kingston, Ontario! Might have to reconsider this hotel next visit!

We enjoyed our 1-night stay. Very reasonably priced. Our room #205 was very large so it should have had a small table or two to use with the lovely bucket chairs. There were no drinking glasses (glass or plastic) in the room. Keurig coffee pods - suggest 2 regular and 2 decaf. I was happy that our request for a room near the elevator was accommodated, and that a small problem with our television was addressed immediately. Friendly helpful staff. Nice breakfast - exceptional pastries.

We booked into the Holiday Inn Waterfront to visit our son who is attending RMC. As my daughter was meeting me and we were driving down together from Toronto, I called the hotel a day earlier to advise we would be a late arrival. We arrived at 12:30 pm and as the doors were locked. We had to be buzzed in. We waited some time for a response. Once up at the front desk the person checking us in made us feel as though we were a huge inconvenience. She hastly checked us in did not provide any information about the hotel or additional charges, and failed to even tell us our room number. We had to.ask all these questions and her responses were very abrupt. The room wa clean but on the small side. The furniture etc was dated and the hallway smelled stale. On check out the same front desk clerk was involved. Very slow and uninterested in serving us. We were charged for parking but had never been told in advance of the $30 fee. The only saving grace was the location however that is not enough to bring me back to this property. My son has another 3 years at the College, there will be many more trips to Kingston, however we will book a different hotel.
