Simply stunning sea views with private access down to the sandy beach below, 1 Avon Quillet, a ground floor, 3 bedroom apartment, is one of the most perfectly positioned holiday apartments in Bigbury-on-Sea. Step out onto the huge south facing balcony, fire up the BBQ and enjoy your meals whilst absorbing the breath taking 180-degree views towards Bantham and Bigbury-on-Sea.

Enter through the front door, into the entrance hall, space for boots and coats. Leading into the spacious, open-plan kitchen/living/dining room and where you’re instantly welcomed by that spectacular sea view. The kitchen is well-equipped and offers ample space to prepare and cook, whilst gazing out to the forever-changing vista. The living area benefits from a big comfy corner sofa, where you can sink into a good book, whilst enjoying the backdrop of crashing waves from the beach below. A good-sized wooden dining table for six and Smart TV is perfectly positioned on the opposite side of the room.

From the living space, glass patio door opens out onto the large terrace with glass balustrade, providing the perfect opportunity to soak up the sun and mesmerising sea views. There is a large outdoor dining table and chairs with the added bonus of a charcoal barbeque, perfect for dining al fresco. Whilst holidaying in a location like Avon Quillet, most evenings will be spent watching the glistening water, whilst sitting back on the sun loungers with a glass wine.

The apartment benefits from three bedrooms and two shower rooms. Good-sized Master bedroom with King Size bed and en-suite shower room, overlooking the terrace and where you’ll wake up to the view of Bantham each morning. Second double bedroom, plus a further bedroom with bunk beds. All offer great storage space. Separate, family shower room.

To the side of the building, there are wooden steps that lead down to the beach which is cut off from the public at High tide making it very private! The beach is an ideal spot from which you can set off on your paddleboard and explore Bantham and beyond or start your day with a refreshing sea swim.

1 Avon Quillet is the perfect beach holiday home, where days will be spent on the vast-reaching beach at low tide. Walk across the beach or down the hill onto the main beach, and across to the famous Burgh Island. The island is home to Burgh Island Hotel and The Pilchard Inn. Whilst on the island, why not hike to the top and take in those breathtaking 360-degree views out to Bantham and across to Hope Cove. Set above the beach is a wonderful beach shop, Venus Takeaway where you can buy pasties and ice-creams and during the summer months you’ll find Beach Barista parked up on the beach serving great coffee. If the constant outlook on surfers and paddleboarders has inspired you, award-winning Discovery Surf School offers surf and paddleboard lessons, as well as being able to hire boards and kayaks – an excellent way of exploring the surrounding coastline and island.

Fantastic week - what a place, beaches lovely, people mega friendly, accommodation lovely especially the views, the Venus Cafe was superb AND we even had good weather. Burgh Island was a treat the Pilchard Inn did a stunning meal and the sea tractor was something everyone should do. I loved it all and so did the dog :-)

The view without doubt is the obvious selling point. With this being an apartment you need to be aware that if all apartments occupied privacy is affected. We were lucky in that it was empty bar us. There are some elements which need tlc ie sun loungers were in need of replacement and some bulbs need replacing.throughout the property. The area is lovely for beach and walks, and very relaxing. Nice walk along coastal path to Challaborough with the reward of fish and chips at Fryer Tucks. Overall a great break away and we are now very relaxed.

1Avon Quillet was a superb apartment. Beautifully clean and extremely comfortable. A perfect position overlooking Bantham, also the open sea. You can either go down the 190 steps to an almost private beach or walk down a gentle path to a choice of 3 other beaches! After a leisurely lunch at The Pilchard Inn it’s wonderful to escape back to the peace of the apartment and sit on the spacious balcony with a glass of wine - just watching the surfers riding the waves while the sun goes down. We only had one little problem while we were there - one of the blinds became stuck and the owner immediately sent someone round to sort it out. An umbrella for the table would be a great addition. We cannot recommend this apartment enough. We aim to return!

What a stunning place!
The view is spectacular. The terrace means you can sit in the sunshine and watch the tides come and go throughout the day. The apartment is very clean and perfectly equipped with everything you could need. We hope to be back very soon!
