While the room and bed were adequate and comfortable the gym was not in a hygienic state. I stayed at the Comfort Inn for two weeks in a row. The first week, I kindly asked the gym be cleaned as it was in a very disgusting state with no towels, a bin full or dirty laundry, nothing to whip the weights down with (paper towels or cleaning spray) and with an extremely dirty carpet (dirt, used band aids and old sucker sticks on the ground). I was assured three times and once by a manager that this would be cleaned by the following week. To my disappointment I found the gym in the exact same state the following week. This is unacceptable for a public shared space. I realize the pandemic is over but guests still expect the bare minimum in terms of cleanliness and hygiene. I would advise anyone staying here to avoid the pool if this is the level of care staff put into these areas.

I cannot say it any other way…the worst place I have ever been! Dirty room and disgusting bathroom. Food left in microwave, bugs in carpet and dirty pool. And the audacity to charge $300.00 plus a night. And management is horrible. I complained as well as my sister who had same issues in her room. my sister found a cleaning man in her room after they checked in. He said he was refilling the coffee? Really? There was brown flowing stains on walls in hallway, and hate to say this but pubic hair just did it for me…OMG…I was checking my sheets on the bed and I was terrified when I saw bugs…so, this place has serious issues and after this review I will call management and report them as well. Nobody should go through what we did. I wished I would of researched more with reviews.

hotel needs updating, the door to our room did not close properly when leaving or returning always had to pull or push door until it locked, the walls in the elevator looked like they needed a good wash, pillows way to soft, other then that hotel was ok.

I was hesitant to stay at the property after reading some of the reviews of people who visited a few days prior to us. I cannot complain about the room, bed or anything within the confines of our room. Yes, it’s dated, but I found the bed comfortable. Staff were friendly. However the pool area is very hot and muggy, which makes me wonder about the air quality after my significant other had got sick and had a hard time breathing. The hot tub was TOO HOT. I approached the front desk and inquired and was informed that they keep it between 102-105…. Who can comfortably enjoy this? The breakfast was OK… chicken for breakfast, unusual. They ran out of ketchup. Did not seem like they were stocking items quick enough. When the dining room is full I thought this would be expected. But for a free breakfast, it was fine.

We just stayed here and we were very disappointed. We booked a queen bed suite. Just entering into the hotel the grass is long with weeds, greeted by an unfriendly manager and entered into a very dirty room with lots of stains and unclean surfaces. No soap, shampoo, conditioner in rooms or at pool shower for the whole 3 days we stayed. We paid good money to stay here, why were we given such a gross dirty room? I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and we will not be staying here again. We come to Kincardine almost yearly and they have lost our business.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Issue with the toilet seat and they were quick to fix the problem. They repaired the broken bolt on the seat but it was still wobbly to sit on. The King size bed was great to sleep in. My only complaint was the continental breakfast. We came to eat around 9:30 and there was very little hot food to choose which was not appealing. Staff made no attempt to replenish the dishes. Basically there was cereal and stale bagels to choose from. The orange juice was even watered down.

I had a suite. The room was relatively clean and capacious. The elevators and common areas were not cleaned very well though. The breakfast needs an upgrade. The eggs were hard and chunky, and I’m not normally picky about food. The front desk staff during the day was also rather unpleasant. I felt uncomfortable asking him questions because he seemed very inconvenienced each time I talked to him. My kids liked the pool and hot tub, but the lack of cleanliness in that space made me try to limit our time spent there. The same hair balls were on the deck the entire 3 days we were there. The water was also cloudy (you couldn’t see the bottom of the pool or hot tub) and there was an error noise that continuously beeped in the mechanical room every time we were at the pool. I wouldn’t be in a rush to go back.
