I like the hotel overall but the beds and pillows weren't comfortable and the walls are super thin. You can hear people speaking in the room next to you. There was a heavy walker above us and this person kept walking back and forth for much of the evening into the night. The shower wasn't that strong and the shower door's seal was coming loose. I liked the two pools and access to the beach but because of the thin walls and being able to hear everything around you, I wouldn't stay here again if I came back to OBX.

I always enjoyed staying here and the staff is always helpful. The room was clean but the shower head in the bathroom was held together by duck tape. I am not sure why this was not fixed before giving us the room.

The hotel was extremely clean and quiet with a nice view! There was one lady for the night shift 11P - 7A, her first name was Ms. Lynn. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. That helped us to make sound decisions on which areas to tour! We appreciate her dedicated service.

Fantastic Hotel and Easy Walk to the Beach!
Perfect spot for a couple days at OBX. Room was clean, staff was helpful, the walk to the beach was easy and amenities were fantastic! We loved the deck seating area on the beach. Next time we visit, we will be bringing our pups.

The design of room is good. Unfortunately when we checked in, we were told the ocean view room had leaking bathroom ceiling and needed to put us in another room, only parking lot view room was available for first night and then once leak repaired would move us. Rm 168 had awful odor in or near refrigerator of rotten fish and oven had caked on ? Cheese/food on rack and bottom of oven.We were called at 1pm on our second day to tell us our ocean view suite would not be available and the only room was rm 168. I asked twice to have the room cleaned and front desk did not respond. I had to clean it myself. I have video of this, very unacceptable conditions of a Marriott property. I was told by front desk staff that the manager would review this and I would be credited for the downgrade. Now I am on vacation, not very relaxing. 9 days later, after calling the hotel, I am told it may take up to 2 weeks for refund or credit on rate. This booking was paid in full over 6 months ago. Poor business practice. The manager never reached out to me after requests to speak with her. Good points on this property- great early morning coffee! Good breakfast every morning. Location and parking are very convenient. Great a/c. Nice comfortable bed. I purposely book oceanfront or view when I vacation at the beach. So disappointed but more disappointed with the lack of response to the dirty and malodorous appliances. The front desk staff were pleasant. Night staff very helpful.
