The property was nice with restaurant and bar, the room was nice size however it reeked and I mean reeked of cigarette smoke. Was only room they had left.

Really bad smell
Room dated and there was a terrible smell from the bathroom. No room service and no food available when I arrived. A cafe style area was closed at 3 although I asked for food at 2.45 and was refused. I was told the restaurant would open at 6. The shower was old and all the chrome in the bathroom was rusty. The shower gel and shampoo dispenser was filthy. Even with the bathroom door closed the smell was overpowering all night. Payment was taken on arrival and no one at reception when I was leaving so I couldn’t inform them at the time.

The hotel had all you need for quick tourist visit or when visiting family in hospital nearby. Staff was efficient. As mentioned in hotel description, no lift. Keep in mind when reserving a room.

Front desk staff (male) was a little rude at first upon check in, but made up for it by offering to help with our luggage. The king size bed was NOT a king size bed. Hotel was very clean and breakfast was outstanding!

If you’re interested in waking up to the soothing sound of your neighbor using the bathroom this is the hotel for you. The walls are paper thin. You can literally hear your neighbors using the bathroom. There is a lot of random banging sounds throughout the night and conversations from people down the hall and clearly understandable in your room with the doors and windows closed. This hotel isn’t within walking distance of the town center so you have to drive and find a parking spot in town for almost everything. I wouldn’t recommend going this property if you are looking to get a good nights sleep or truly experience Kilkenny.
