Although the hotel is doing some renovations the room itself was clean, tidy, warm and the bed was comfortable. The creaking floorboards just added to the charm of the place.

We only learned the Hotel was closed apart from accommodation on the day of check-in. Check-in was bizarre. Spoke to a person who seemed to be a caretaker by phone during the day and given a key with no ID checks on arrival. All lights off downstairs and property messy and dirty. Room cold (reverse AC did not heat up the room). Shower lukewarm at best and not clean. Bin had not been emptied from previous guest. Very disappointing.

Hotel area was closed so no dinning areas available. No staff on duty. Had to let yourself into building via text instructions. Separate tea and coffee facilities dirty. Rooms very small and no wardrobe space for chothes. The room did however appear to recently renovated. Found it hard to sleep as night light shinning all night into room from hallway. Would absolutely not recommend.
