Key West charm, clean, and comfortable.
Perfect location, beautiful room and property. Walking across the street to the other hotel for check in and breakfast was fine, but would have been nicer to have those amenities on site. There is a beautiful community space on the property and it seems under utilized. Regardless, it was a nice place to stay and we would recommend it to anyone.

Property is what at one point was a bed and breakfast but no longer room was ok kept very clean i stayed in the pool side room pool looks dated and very noisy when someone is in the pool there was alot of heavy street noise being off of Truman street over all ok putting everything else aside.

Staff and location are excellent! Cool historic property. Unique rooms. Free breakfast and off-street parking. Lovely pool area. We enjoyed our stay so much we added and extra day to our trip.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was within a 5 minute walk to Duval. Parking was covenient and safe for the car. The walk across the street to the main hotel only took 30 seconds to a minute. Breakfast was delicious with homemade omelettes pool-side. The neighborhood around it was kind of run-down. The room we had was great but it was bottom floor. With wood floors through-out, the people above were very loud and seemed to be awake all night. The entrance to our room was ground floor and maybe 50 feet from the sidewalk. Keep your doors locked! We did have someone try our door twice while we were there. Once in the middle of the night. All and all no complaints, but will search for something perhaps a bit further from the sidewalk and main drag of the town.

La Pensione is quite a charming boutique hotel. The staff was amiable. Two minor issues with the hotel were the hotel's location was super noisy (unable to get any sleep) and the breakfast area was too small to accommodate two hotels (sister hotel Silver Palms). I'd look at other hotels when booking rooms in the future.

The King bed was very comfortable. The room was nicely decorated and clean. The bathroom was good size and two shower heads was nice. If you stay, walk over to El Siboney for Cuban food. The parking was available or at Silver Palms if full. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We're local to Florida and probably would return. TS Debby didnt spoil our weekend.

Nice for dracula
The room was clean and the location was fantastic! But it was so dark in our room (the hotel keeps outer shutters over the windows that cannot be opened) that you never knew what time of day it was or what the weather was doing outside.
