The master suite can also be found on this floor, which features a super king size zip-and-link bed. Once you arrive at your holiday cottage, you can leave the car behind to make the most of your prime location. If you’ve not been to Kendal before you’ve come to the best of all worlds! On your doorstep you have one of the most amazing Unesco World Heritage Sites on the planet in the Lake District while Kendal itself offers an amazing creative hub which punches well above its size. A street away is the Bowness Bay Microbrewery, a pottery and screen-printing studio, a gym, a flower shop, a pizza van and the Factory Tap craft pub. If you go to the end of the properties road towards the river and cross the bridge, there is a children’s play area.
Kendal has an abundance of well-known high street brands mixed with several independent retailers, and a weekly outdoor market selling anything from local crafts to clothing, as well as a permanent indoor market open daily, you’ll find plenty on your doorstep to fill your days. Visit Kendal Museum, dating back to 1796, which houses historical archaeology and the largest taxidermy collection in Europe. Also within 30 minutes’ drive you can explore the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and the waterfall trail and caves at Ingleton are extremely popular.
