This 19th century chapel has been converted into two apartments with Old Chapel occupying the ground floor with its own private entrance. It offers a cosy, open plan living space with a light and airy feel, two comfortable bedrooms and a bathroom. Enjoy views to the front over the Lyth Valley from the dining and seating areas and from the private patio there are views to the rear over the fields. The area has many local walks to suit all abilities, while a short drive will take you to either the West Cumbrian Coast, the Yorkshire Dales or the heart of the Lake District. Attractions in the immediate area include Levens Hall, with its world famous topiary gardens, and National Trust’s Sizergh Castle. You are also on the border of the Lake District National Park, with Lake Windermere just 10 minutes away. The market towns of Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale are also within easy reach as is the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Beach 6¾ miles. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Old Chapel
The Old Chapel was a delightful apartment. For us, a couple, it was perfectly presented with all the facilities one needs. It might be a little cramped if there were four adults staying. The access driveway to the property was a little narrow in places. We have an estate car and we only just squeezed through the gaps between walls and other buildings but as had been said before larger vehicles could be left in Hutton Lane.

Gute Lage zur Erkundung des Lake Districts
- Einfache, moderne Ausstattung ( uns fehlte der britische Charme). Einige Dinge zur Grundausstattung fehlten und mussten per e-mail bestellt werden, wurden aber schnell geliefert. Einige Dinge waren nicht so gut durchdacht. - Z.B. dass man zum Fenster-oder Rolloöffnen über die Betten krabbeln musste. Das Sofa war sehr durchgesessen und es gab keine andere Möglichkeit zum Sitzen, außer den Küchenstühlen. Die Terrassenmöblierung könnte auch etwas komfortabler sein - aber es ging. + Die Lage war super: Rundum Wiesen und Hügel, es herrscht eine traumhafte Stille und man ist schnell auf der Hauptstrasse zur Erkundung des Lake Districts , und kann sogar zu Fuß nach Levens Hall wandern. Es gibt einen gut ausgestatteten Village-Shop und ein super Pub ( Hare and Hounds ) - fußläufig erreichbar in 5-10 Min.
