Alternatively, the whole of the Yorkshire Dales and Brontë Country can be easily accessed by car, as can the historic city of York. The bustling market town of Skipton is 6 miles, which features a well preserved castle and boat trips along the canal. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
