The room is looking tired and photos do not represent the room. Bathroom too small and hand held shower not working properly
We had sea view and it was very noisy from the street. We could also hear the occupants above us scraping the chair on the floor and the high heels on the floor
Difficult to sleep at night
We had two single beds put together and not comfortable at all
Very average and would not recommend if you expect more
Not a 4 star hotel. Definitely the hotel is no longer at the 4 star level. The rooms are very poorly maintaned, breakfast choises has been dropped from my last visit. Dishes at the bufet were dirty. There is only one reason to stay in this hotel, the proximity to the harbor and my area of interest business wise.
I stayed by myself for 5 nights, while my daughter visited with family. The staff were absolutely amazing at welcoming me and assisting me to find anything I needed/wanted within the hotel and around town. My room was clean and modern with a stunning view of the Kavala waterfront. It was the perfect location for dining, shopping and exploring! I will be back!

This property is super well located. It's right downtown with tons of restaurants and shops around as well as the port.
The staff was very kind.
The room was OK. The blinds didn't block out light, the beds were uncomfortable, and they do that thing where you need your key in the slot for the power to work so you can't charge things when you're out. Other than that it was fine.
There was AC and it worked well, and there's an elevator.
All in all, it was a reasonable value for the price.
The hotel is nice, but my room was the worst I have ever stayed in. It was worse than a prison cell - clearly a converted broom cupboard.
4 star hotel - price was 4 star - my room 1 star at a push
The cost was ridiculously high for terrible quality!
The room was dark and dingy and noisy (which turned out to be the hotel air conditioning fans out side my room)
The room air conditioning didn’t work and constantly throughout the night an alarm sounded.
In the heart of the city front seasid. Easy to access everywhere by walk. Around many restaurants and shopping area. Relevant employees, especially receptionist gives us good recommendation for the place where we go. It is the only negative thought; there are no parking lot available from the hotel but there is the only 200meters away parking area 9€/per day. The room is little small, but comfortable Highly recommend
This was a tied hotel in desperate need of an update. There were no tissues in the room, no conditioner, nothing to boil water in to make to or coffee, you had to walk down the corridor to a water fountain that had hot and cold water.
The floors throughout were hard, old and looked and f let terrible.
There was no parking so you have to use a car park which is about 450 metres away and pay 11 euro a day, this was reasonable.
The breakfast was offerings were reasonable for this standard of hotel.
The location was good as it is on the waterfront. Our room had the sea view which was good from the small balcony.
The lifts were very small, 4 person capacity of 300kgs which means if you have a lot of luggage you may need to make 2 trips in the lift. It’s a fairly big hotel and the 2 lifts were inadequate as they were always being used.
As its price is low it’s used by a lot of your groups both local and international.
These groups weee noisy and not frequent travellers so respect for others was lacking.
This hotel is disgusting! I have stayed at this same hotel 4 times in the past (Albeit my last stay was 6 years ago). So when we booked the Airotel Galaxy for the fifth time this July I thought I new what to expect. We notified the property a day ahead of time that we’d be checking in late and were told it wouldn’t be a problem.
When we first arrived we immediately noticed that the hotel was looking rundown and not what we remembered (smell, dirty front window/door, and in dire need of a coat of paint). We checked in and were given our first room on the 3rd floor.
When we went to the first room, the room obviously needed general updating and repairs. But that wasn’t the worst part. We found bed bugs on the mattress. We immediately left the room and went down to the front desk.
The front desk person was nice enough (didn’t believe that the room had bed bugs until I showed him pictures). And then he became irritate (speaking out loud to himself) with the hotel management for not leaving a single spare room for our 4 night stay
He found us another room on the 6th floor for our first night and said we’d be relocated for our next 3 nights.
Despite our hesitations, we went to the second room and found a similar poor room condition. But could not believe it when we again found bed bugs in the second room!
We immediately left (threw the keys at concierge on our way out) and went searching for a different hotel at 2am
Still dealing with Expedia for reimbursement…
