Molokai Shores unit #217: Upon entry, notice the open layout that leads your gaze to the sliding glass door offering views of the Hawaiian blue sky and palm trees just outside your second-floor retreat. Handsome hardwood-like flooring and a charming island décor compliment the entire unit, and ceiling fans circulate that cool Pacific breeze throughout the unit.

The living room features modern Hawaiian-themed furniture, including a cozy sofa (that doubles as a pull-out bed) and a lounger. On the wall, is a flat-screen television, ideal for a relaxing night with popcorn.

From the living room or the master bedroom, walk through the sliding doors and onto your spacious private balcony. This space is furnished with outdoor chairs and tables so you can enjoy the tropical breeze while getting lost in a good book or enjoying an afternoon nap. There is seating for four guests at the table, two plush outdoor chairs, two beach chairs, and a lounger. There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out on this lanai.

For home-cooked meals, the fully-equipped kitchen provides plenty of cabinet and counter space for all prep needs. The large kitchen island gives you even more room to cook and doubles as a bar for casual dining with seating for two. Brand-name appliances include a stove, oven, full-sized refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, and toaster. There is also a coffee maker.

The spirit of the island flows into the tropical-themed bedroom with top-quality linens and pillows to ensure a peaceful sleep. Property/grounds were well maintained and flora and fauna are beautiful. Condo was nice, clean and manager was quick to help with our requests. We loved the moa but their wake up call was a bit early!

Just a little noisy due to the road traffic Friday night, but that will depend on what is happening on the island. We expected a sofa bed, but there isn't one in the unit. However, there is an air mattress which made it really great for the little ones. You should also be aware that it can be very warm, and there are very few units anywhere with a/c.

Love Molokai
Great location for convenient access to all island activities, very relaxing compound. A few minor issues: 1. The inside temperature was 87 degrees and very stuffy upon arrival despite outside highs being only 78-80 degrees. By opening all doors and windows, maxing all fans and buying a couple more at hardware store to donate to the home we were able to cool the place down to 76-78 degrees overnight but then had to close all window shades through daytime hours to maintain marginal comfort. 2. Cleaners had not cleaned floor well and master bedroom had ants/roaches upon arrival because we found Cheerios cereal under the bed. 3. This unit is conveniently close to parking and road, but as a result, it does get road noise.
