Update: The manager Jay called me back to "assure me" this is not his fault or problem and the problem is with Expedia. Expedia didn't charge my card and cannot refund me unless the hotel gives Expedia back the money. The manager will gaslight you and put the problem on anyone but him and the hotel. DON'T STAY HERE!!!
I recently stayed at the Days Inn & Suites in Kaukauna for two days, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing.
Upon entering, the lobby and hallways had a strong odor that reminded me of garbage, which was off-putting. Additionally, the entire hotel seemed to be covered in construction dust, making it feel unkempt and uncomfortable.
One of the most concerning issues was a noticeable hole in the floor in the hallway, which posed a significant safety risk. It was alarming to think that someone could easily trip and injure themselves.
Moreover, I am still waiting for a refund for the incidental hold placed on my card during check-in. The hotel is blaming the charge on the booking site I used, despite the fact that my card was swiped at their hotel with their card reader. This has been frustrating to deal with and has left a sour impression.
Overall, I was not satisfied with my stay and would not recommend this hotel until significant improvements are made.
Staff were unhelpful and rarely at the desk, dirty common areas, safety risks, clutter in the hallways and the place absolutely smelled. Pay the extra money if you can for something a bit nicer.
