Klostermauer mit Flachbildschirm

Pros: Die einzigartige Atmosphäre in den historischen Mauern in Kombination mit moderner Technik.
Cons: Personal wirkt unerfahren und schlecht organisiert. Bei einem Check-in von 15 Uhr war es nicht möglich, trotz Anmeldung 30 Minuten vorher einzuziehen.
Location: Ideale Lage für documenta-Besucher, zudem wenige Schritte zu Bus und Strassenbahn. Ansonsten ist Kassel eine hübsche Kulturstadt.
Positiv: Das Haus ist mehrere hundert Jahre alt und hat kürzlich eine gelungene Metamorphose zum Hotel erfahren. Intelligente Kombinationen von Alt und Neu machen Lust auf einen Rundgang. Die ruhige Lage ist nah am Zentrum und unmittelbar an der Fulda. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist ausreichend bis gut. Negativ: Das klösterliche Design-Konzept macht den Gast zum Statisten, indem er – trotz Superior-Klasse – wie ein Mönch auf ausreichende Möblierung verzichten muss. Zimmersafe ist Fehlanzeige und wird durch Spielerei wie Touchscreen-Info-Tablet nicht wettgemacht. Das Bad ist topmodern und weist dennoch Schwächen auf wie neue, aber unpraktische Armaturen im Stil des Fin de Siècle oder wie dem Spiegel in Armlänge-Distanz. Das Personal: Einzelne Perlen fallen positiv auf, der Rest hat noch viel Luft nach oben, sowohl in Rezeption wie im Service. Aber das Hotel war eben erst eröffnet und kann sich durchaus positiv entwickeln.

Einige der angesprochenen Punkte bezüglich der Ausstattung sind naturgemäß durch den erhaltenden Umgang mit der vorgefundenen historischen Architektur und dem Anspruch einer sehr individuellen Ausstattung bedingt.
