Great property...lots of restaurants in the area
Excellent property with beautiful lobby. Also provided a business lounge with free coffee and snacks (not sure if this was available to all rooms or only those on the VIP floor where we booked). Room was very comforably arranged with lots of restaurants within walking distance. Close to Love River and History Museum. The dim sum in the hotel restaurant was of very good quality! Did not use the gym but had a look and there were treadmills and eliptical machines as well as bikes (and well air conditioned). Self serve laundry was available and all machines functioned well. There is a wedding hall on site, so when there is a function, there will be some music noise, but it ended very early in the evening...so not an issue for us.

Overall is good and friendly stuff , just the bedding is bit weary and too soft! But most are good and excellent staff ! But downpour is only has one restaurant in hotel !

The service was excellent. Room comes with happy hour lounge access (6-10pm). When we stayed there, we used the lounge over three nights. Each time a staff, Yuan Yuan, was exceptionally welcoming and friendly to not only my daughter but also other children as well. Really made the difference. My recommendation is for the hotel to relook at the breakfast. Other than the porridge, most of the other offerings are either average or below average. I rather a smaller spread that is better than what I got over the last few days (wide spread of average or below average items): To the chef, your cold tofu was off. The sauce didn’t taste right. Your bbq char siew is not char siew. Your beef balls need vinegar. The irony is that this hotel has a Cantonese restaurant but it appears that the chefs don’t communicate.

Comfortable stay
It was a comfortable stay. It has its own laundromat which is convenient for us especially we had to change clothes multiple times because it was hot walking around the city. There is family mart and mcdonald's closeby so that is also a plus for us.

The hotel was much nicer than expected. It’s near Yanngchen MRT and a McDonald’s. The VIP access offered free beer, drinks and snacks on the 7th floor. It was a bit annoying to be in the presence of a few rowdy kids though. Wufu Section 4 has tons of bars, coffee and dining options. I enjoyed Rovers Pub, Oxford Pub and Marinas Pub. Marinas had pretty good food too. For coffee and tea, check out Chill and Bake. The hotel was clean and comfortable. I also appreciate that the staff didn’t harass me to get out the day of check out. I hate hotels that do that! 5 out of 5 stars in my book. Hope to stay again. One more thing, the staff is bilingual and the check in was fast and easy.
