If I could leave negative stars on this place, I booked this hotel and prepaid days in advance. I knew I was rolling the dice on it with the already bad reviews but WOW. My flight landed at 11:30PM so I called earlier that day to confirm my reservation and let them know I’d be there late to check in. I also did the “pre-check in” where they asked for your cc info, copy of license, etc. so supposedly you’d be set & just need to get your room key when you arrive. When I finally arrived after a long travel day, the “front desk guy” was half asleep in their lobby chair. He finally woke and stumbled to the front desk. After giving him my ID and cc (which they already had from the supposed pre-check in) he said the card was declined. He stared at me with a blank face until I finally asked what could be done then. He said he couldn’t check me in without the card being ran again. I told him to forget it and refund my payment, which he said he couldn’t do and I’d have to call back in the morning. When I did, my refund was denied. I ended up going up the road to an actual nice hotel which, SHOCKINGLY, my cc worked just fine at and called it a night. Long story short, avoid this hotel at all costs!! Even for being cheap, it’s not worth giving them a penny of your money or second of your time.

The room was filthy, especially the carpeting. Lavatory and shower faucet in disrepair. Mold on the shower curtain. Black mold arount the top of the toilet tank. Toilet did not work properly all the time. This property should be condemned for it filthy and unsanitary condition. Kansas City Health Board should be notified and this hotel shut down!
