Better than imagined

Pretty amazing stay here at the Aida! Contactless everything from check in to check out but the hotel kept in contact electronically the whole stay! This is of importance to me because I feel checking in and out can be so stressful and overwhelming. My room was so much better than I imagined and the other properties were available for me to visit, cannot wait to stay here again.

The Aida hotel is exactly as described- a peaceful, comfortable hotel within walking distance to either the plaza or Westport, and amazing art museums literally outside your front door. From the moment you walk in, you are surrounded by well curated art pieces, carefully selected furniture and an atmosphere of luxury. The owners were very responsive with a few minor requests- I’d had back surgery and needed extra pillows- they were there when we returned to our room nicely placed on the freshly made bed. The grounds are lovely, with beautiful landscaping and a small pond/bird bath that provides a sense of solitude despite being in the middle of everything! You are greeted with Donsuemor madeleines and Nespresso coffee in the “common” area on the first floor in the morning, with apples that appear to be picked or chosen from a local market, and each evening there is an unassuming bottle of prosecco with small glasses for you to imbibe. All very lovely touches that add a flair of hospitality. The rooms are lovely, with darkening shades and VERY comfortable mattresses and pillows. As mentioned after back surgery a few weeks prior I was nervous, but with a pillow to support my knees I slept like a baby! They provide sound machines, the doors have sound-stopping door runners and it is so peaceful. No slamming doors, elevator dings or sounds of loud kids running down the halls. That being said, this is NOT kid-friendly. My husband and I would absolutely come back as a couple.

Lovely but loud

The decor was incredible. Absolutely stunning. We stayed on the first floor (1A) and there were people staying directly above us. We heard every time they walked, flushed, talked and coughed. In the morning, they then came to the coffee bar which was directly across from us and we heard every cup they made, and their conversations for 45 minutes until they moved out to the porch. We got 3 hours of sleep and left by 8:30a as there is no sound barrier at all in that room. Very uncomfortable evening and morning. It’s a gorgeous home/hotel, though. I suppose if you stay upstairs you wouldn’t have the same issues we had.

OMG! This was one of the best experiences I have ever had while staying at the Aida Hotel. Everything from the unique and safe check in, to the Casper bed, to the beautiful layout of the decor in the room. I couldn't have asked for a better stay. Great friend get together

We stayed in a double room suite and it was so much more comfortable than booking two rooms. Had a great bathroom and living room for the four of us to gather. We also used the two living room areas that were available to all guests. There was a nice patio but it was too warm to use it.

Gorgeous boutique hotel!

Favorite boutique in Kansas City! The hotel is a beautiful house in the arts/museum district that has been converted to an artsy hotel. No staff on site, but they are on call. Electronic access to your room is sent the day you check-in. Great sitting rooms and coffee bar on the first floor. Stair only access to floor 2 and 3. Walking distance to the Plaza, museums, and parks.

Amazing boutique hotel with superb decor! Room was comfortable and quiet. Registration is all done online, so be sure to have access to the internet to get the email with access codes. If you don't receive it (which was my case), there is a phone number listed on the door. I called and everything was sorted out quickly. It's walking distance from museums with cafes and close driving distance from nice restaurants by car/Uber. It was perfect for my purposes.

The property was in a beautiful area close to the Kansas City Art Institute. The decor was amazing! The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We came to KC for a concert at the Uptown Theatre and it was only a short Uber ride to the venue. The gardens looked great with a couple of water features, but unfortunately, it was too hot to be outside. Great place!
