The only thing I think should be a little better is the parking. It’s confusing a little bit when you turn in you don’t know if it’s a one way or not. The parking lot also need to be bigger.

McCamly Plaza turned DoubleTree Success
I'm a BC native so I was super excited to see how DoubleTree has brought back the great McCamly Plaza Hotel! I have to say, DoubleTree didn't disappoint; they have made this place look really nice. The staff was super nice, check-in was smooth, complimentary warm cookie and the bed's are pretty comfortable They have on-site pool and hottub thoughwe didn't go. Also, they have a restaurantthay serves all three meals, a bar and a lounge bar area wirh limited food options. A cool thing to note is all three places are open to the public.

Dirty / corners never cleaned yuck - Wall around the bed and nightstand were filthy every corner was filled with dirt crumbs, back of the mirror hand held mirror was crowded with fingerprints and crud. Poop on the toilet seat, I can understand being under construction but without a sign to “excuse the mess . Very disappointing hotel for a place the whole local conventions and being next to Kellogg’s corporate offices. Yuck!

The lobby was nice. The hall ways, elevators and rooms were old, musty and outdated. The continental breakfast was just cold cereal! I know it's battle creek but come on, I wish I could have made a waffle.

Run don’t stay
Room smelled like mildew when I got there, door clasp was broken and room phone had no dial tone for me to call front desk. I finally just went downstairs and they changed my room but smell was still there. Bathroom is VERY small (like you could only fit one fit between the toilet and the tub) and I found it odd that toilet didn’t have a seat cover. Also they charge you for valet but every time I came into the hotel or had to leave - locating someone to get my car was a hassle. The worst part is that my car keys were left on the valet counter for hours (from the time I dropped them off to go up to my room to when I came down hours later to go out again) No one was at the counter when I came down yet I saw my keys just sitting there so I ended up grabbing them and took my car myself— but the point is ANYONE could have seen the key fob, clicked the buttons and took off with my car. They reimbursed me one night valet when front desk found out about this incident but still not justifiable. I would never stay here again.
