Welcome to our beautifully decorated ocean front condo in paradise - Kona Reef D-24.

Our condo is our home away from home, so we respectfully request a maximum of 2 adult guests and no children under 18.

Whether this is your first trip to Kailua-Kona or you are a frequent visitor to the island, our condo at Kona Reef Resort will definitely be your favorite place to stay.

Our condo is only 23 feet from the water and the 3rd floor views from the lanai are absolutely mesmerizing. You will find yourself drawn to the views from the lanai from dawn till dusk, and with the sounds of the surf, warm tropical breezes and the views of the ocean, you will soon find a soothing sense of calm begin to take over.

Our private lanai hosts a bar height table and chairs, plus a super comfy lounge and a side table. Most mornings while sitting on the lanai and drinking a steamy mug of incredible Kona coffee, a few of the local surfers will be out in front of the condo catching the morning waves, and by the time the sun comes over the volcano, more often than not a pod of spinner dolphins will pass through on their early morning trek.

Early on Wednesdays and Saturdays mornings, cruise ships will pass directly in front of the condo and dock in Kailua- Kona for the day and then sail off to Lahaina, Maui as the sun begins to set. The humpback whales (na kohola) visit Hawaii every year from November until early May and some have even been spotted from the lanai.

Once your day begins to wind down, you will find yourself anxiously waiting for the stunning sunsets that Hawaii is famous for.

Absolutely Perfect Oceanfront Stay in Kona!
From the moment we arrived just before sunset, we were blown away by the breathtaking ocean view—an absolutely perfect welcome to paradise. The condo was spotless, beautifully updated, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need (and more!). We especially loved the high-top table on the lanai, which provided an unobstructed view of the ocean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making for restful nights after days of adventure.One of the best surprises was the refreshing natural cross breeze, especially after sunset. Coming from a colder climate, we absolutely loved the fresh ocean air and never needed to use the AC at night—it felt incredible!The location couldn’t have been better. Just a short walk down the road, we had easy access to great shops and restaurants.KaCee and Kurt had wonderful communication throughout our stay, making sure we had everything we needed for a seamless experience. Would love to stay here again next time we are in Kona!

Beautiful lanai view
This condo is exactly like the pictures. It is updated and clean. The view from the lanai is incredible. We were able to see whales and spinner dolphins as well as surfers. The location is ideal for walking to restaurants and stores. The owners kept in contact with us and have provided all the necessities for a comfortable stay. We would definitely stay here again!

The condo is great! Location is perfect, walking distance to the restaurants and shops. The view from the lanai is breathtaking….we weren’t there for whale season unfortunately just a couple of weeks early, but we saw dolphins, surfers and the cruise ships! Beach towels and chairs are provided, parking was always available and the bed was very comfortable! Correspondence with the hosts Kurt & KaCee was also good.

Great property. Older complex but our unit was modern and very clean. View from balcony is what every Hawaii visitor wants. Owner so easy to contact and quick responses. Would definitely stay there again. Only challenge can be parking if you return after 8 PM. Underground spots available but tight fit for medium to large autos.

The condo was wonderful. We loved all of the Hawaiian decor. The owner did a great job decorating the unit. It is very comfortable and homey. The owners thought of everything that you would need to make your stay very convenient including a cooler, beach chairs and beach towels. The ocean view was amazing. The proximity to downtown Kona was within walking distance. We really enjoyed staying there. Looking forward to coming back in a year or two.

The view is the first thing that grabs your attention when you walk in. It is simply astounding. The ocean couldn't be any closer. After we pulled ourselves back into the condo from the lanai we were so pleased with everything. It was just right. Details-nice bed although a bit tall for short me (5'2") I used a stool to give myself a boost into bed. Truly not a problem. The shower is a great walk in size (room for 2) with a nice shower head. Kitchen is well equipped. We cooked alot. The view was so great we didn't want to miss any sunsets. Nice washer and dryer. The pool very nice, I was in it most evenings. Honls beach right next door was great for dipping your toes in the ocean. To rough to swim there unless you surf. Plenty of swimming beachs near by. Our favorite was Waikoloa. We never used the AC just open the back door, front door (with locking security screen) and open the bedroom windows to let in the breeze. We were there in March and saw whales and dolphins from the lania!!! Can't wait to go back. Aloha.

Beach gear like chairs and coolers, books to enjoy, spices for when you want to cook like a local, within walking distance of every ammentity, and even whales!! The whales were easily seen while sitting on the private lanai. It was just a great place to stay.

Loved the condo and the location!! Beautiful view of the bay and just a short walk to downtown Kona's many shops, restaurants and activities. The condo itself was very comfortable, beautifully decorated, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The managers were very helpful and welcoming. The only negative about the unit itself was that the cleaning crew must not have mopped the floors before we got there because our feet turned black after walking on it. The only negative about the property was that it was noisy due to the lack of insulation. Overall, we loved staying here and wouldn't hesitate to return!

Perfect location in Kona. We arrived the day of the Kilauea eruption and were on the edge of the crater watching a major eruption at dawn the next morning. Quiet, easy walk to restaurants, shops, activities. Tastefully decorated. Great kitchen with everything you could want …if your into cooking. Lanai has an unrestricted fantastic view of the surf line, harbor, lots of boating activity, if you’re a surfer, the break is superb at 4-6 feet, great shape both morning and afternoon/evening. Very little wind in Kona so it doesn’t get blown out. At low tide there are tons of tide pools for exploration. The kids would love it. Swimming pool is very nice, quiet, clean…and the propane fired barbecues work great. No kiddie pool, but main pool shallow end is only 2 feet deep. Only cons would be: all tile floors a little hard on the feet. A couple of throw rugs would be nice. And the kitchen floor was quite dirty on arrival. Window air conditioner cools the main room, but does little to help the bedroom. Fans do the rest. Hosts are easy to contact. Would we stay there again? Yes.
