Whale Watching
Location ideal for whale whatching & dolphin excursions. Querky museum, watch plenty of fur seals from roadside on road into Kaikoura. Check in great, owner very chatty & welcoming. Lovely Irish pub Donegal on outskirts, lovely food. Supermarket close by.

Wish we had been able to stay longer! Two minute walk to breathtaking beach - 5 minute walk for groceries. Sparkling clean, comfortable, friendly reception staff accommodated our late arrival. Thank you for a wonderful visit

The room was nice, nothing super fancy but the kitchenette had all you would need. The location is nice, you can't see the ocean but it is a very short walk to the beach (across the seemingly rarely used train tracks). It is 1-2 km from the center of town. Overall, very good value!

We had a great stay here! The gent ar the front counter was really helpful. The room was spotless and really comfortable. It was a cold night but the heaters kept us warm. Great private access to the beach, keep in mind you will hve to cross rail tracks.

I had a great night sleep here. Very helpful owner. Great beds, clean, easy access to the beach, close to town, grocery store nearby. This is a top of the line place to stay for a roadside motel.

Fantastic location, just a literal skip over the train tracks and you’re on the beach! Everything was pristine in the room, very comfortable. Quick drive into town with tons of shopping and food options. The seal colony nearby was a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend the Alpine View for a lovely stay!
