We have stayed in several La Quinta hotels through the years. This was not a good experience. Thank God we were there just overnight. The door to the room was broken. It did not open or close properly, the toilet broke overnight, the carpet was not nice and had a hole in it. The juice machine in the morning did not work. It had only water. Overall not a good experience.

Filthy, disgusting experience. FEMA residents living in hotel - NO ONE TOLD US prior to checking in. AC did not de-humidify. Had to use heater in room to dry out our shoes and clothes; room and carpet always damp. Felt like we were living on a dirty alley in a dangerous part of New York City. FEMA residents dirty, in PJ's, smoking outside every time we arrived around 10 to race to our room and lock the door. Did not use gym, did not feel safe. Carpet nastiest I've every seen. Threshold plate missing, carpet raveled, dust piled in corners, used towels on floor to avoid walking on carpet. Rusted trash can left rust "rings" on tile in sink area. Staff was pleasant is the only good thing about this nasty hotel.

You do not get what you pay for here.
The young woman who checked us in was incredibly polite and friendly and helpful. I read many reviews, so I was really surprised by the condition of the hotel. It was horribly run down…the vanity mirror light flickered so much it was unusable, so they put an old rusted lamp on the counter next to the sink. The fixtures were all chipped, rusted, old, and in disrepair. Our phones didn’t charge because the outlets didn’t work. The tub and sink were very clean, but in poor condition. The shower had handrails, which was helpful. The air worked, but it was very damp and musty in the room. The bathroom floor was clean, and the carpeting in the room was okay; however, the hallway carpet was absolutely disgustingly dirty, smelly, and stained. If it hadn’t been late and we hadn’t had a very long day of traveling, I would have never even continued to the room after seeing the hallway carpeting. There was a very strong smell of marijuana in the hallways and wafting into the room (not the hotel’s fault), but I wasn’t surprised after seeing some of the clientele. The hotel lobby was very clean and was being mopped when we checked out this morning. Breakfast was good and as expected. I paid over $200 for one night in this hotel. I rarely leave bad reviews and always try to focus on the positive, but I wish I had seen some honest reviews before booking. This was what I would expect for $70 a night…not $220 a night. I will not ever stay here again. I was very disappointed.

Deplorable, unsanitary conditions. A boil water order was in place. Brown water came out of sink. Could not shower or brush teeth. Homeless people milling around property. Stairwell smelled of urine and marijuana. Room smelled of cigarette smoke. Could not stay there. Went and checked in to another hotel.

Breakfast was good. Front lobby is very pretty until you got around the corner. They have tried to update but didnt work out too good. Floors are heaved up to the pool. Moldy in our room. Smells of pot on every floor. Lots of people must be living there.

There was no tub stopper for the tub and the water spiket for the shower and bath didn't work you could only take a shower carpet was torn to pieces really bad somebody could fall and get hurt the front door's hard to come in and out of there's mold on the fan above that in the vent black mold and the maintenance man couldn't get another stop rate didn't have any so he did come up and look at it but he couldn't fix anything

This was truly the worst experience I’ve had in a hotel ever! The hotel is in such a poor state of disrepair, with door, jams, being broken, fire sensors hanging off the wall, rusted hinges on doors, torn carpet, broken tiles, holes in walls, Beyond filthy windowsills, and so much more!
