RELAX & RECHARGE at this charming cottage in the woods! Lovingly renovated w/marble furnishings/painted wood ceilings...the interior has a relaxed, elegant feel. From the front porch enjoy coffee or a cocktail while watching deer graze in the yard, head out back to take in the shade of an old oak tree or explore the (SEASONAL) creek! Visit local restaurants/bars w/interesting towns, wineries & the state park nearby!
Wildwood Cottage was originally built in the 1970's and was meticulously renovated. It's older architecture and updated modern features bring the best of old and new together in a space that's charming, romantic, comfortable and uncluttered.
The light and bright professionally decorated interior seamlessly mixes country, contemporary and modern styles. Painted tongue & groove wood ceilings, white lacquer cabinets/black quartz counters in the kitchen and unique furnishings placed throughout the home are tasteful as well as functional.
Upstairs the roomy bedroom features a king bed w/super soft 800 thread count sheets, a selection of pillows, and a hand carved desk w/lighted makeup mirror. The master bath vanity is outfitted w/a carrera marble vanity, frameless glass shower and luxury bath amenities.
Enjoy the natural surroundings and family of deer from the front porch or explore the surrounding 5 acres for an unforgettable experience that only the Texas Hill Country can offer.
Wildwood Cottage is the ideal space for a couples getaway, a honeymoon/anniversary, a birthday celebration or to just take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Wildwood Cottage is located on 5 acres and guests have access to the entire property. There are no other dwellings on the property allowing for complete privacy during your stay.
My husband and I live on the adjacent property and are far enough away to allow complete privacy, but close enough to assist if you need anything.
We are ideally located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. With Pedernales Falls State Park just up the road (4 miles) and many wineries, breweries, distilleries and bars/restaurants nearby we are in the ideal location to enjoy all that the Texas Hill Country has to offer.
Visit Johnson City and Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce sites to discover many wonderful art galleries, specialty shops, restaurants, chocolate makers and coffee roasters in the area.
Wildwood Cottage is centrally located on the Hill Country Wine Trail, encompassing an almost endless number of wineries, breweries and distilleries.

You have to rent this place!
We knew this was going to be a great place when we drove up the driveway and saw the deer in the well-kept yard. The cottage was spotless! The cleanest rental I’ve ever booked. The hostess thoughtfully left home grown peaches and Prosecco on the table for our arrival. There are device chargers a- plenty. The stairs are a little steep to the upstairs bedroom, so tread those carefully! There was fresh water set out upstairs. The bed was a little more firm than what we’re used to, but was still very comfortable. Everything was well thought out and so cozy! It was just a 5-ish minute drive to the entrance of Pedernales Falls State Park. Terry (hostess) left a helpful booklet with information on household devices, area attractions/restaurants. She even called us on the first day to make sure we had everything we needed. The back patio was so well kept with a fire pit and nice nighttime lighting. There is a gazebo further out back right next to the live creek, with lounge chairs. It was so peaceful and quiet just listening to the creek and the birds. Deer frequented the yard (deer feeder) but were very skittish. The ONLY thing that would keep this from being 10 stars is the internet service. But if you’re looking to unplug and just enjoy nature it would be perfectly fine. Would definitely make a return to this place! Thanks, Terry!

Our stay here far surpassed our expectations. The house feels spacious, is comfortable, and is beautifully decorated. Both mornings we sat at the kitchen table and watched deer come up on the property to eat out of the deer feeder. Terry’s attention to detail is obvious in how the potential needs of guests are anticipated. The second floor is the master bedroom and bath, and it is such an inviting space! The king size bed is very comfortable. In addition, the front porch is a wonderful place to sit, drink a cup of coffee, and listen to the birds in the morning and the bullfrogs in the evening. This property provides a wonderful sense of privacy in nature, but is only 20 to 30 minutes away from dining and shopping. The first thing my husband and I discussed as we drove off the property was when we thought we could return. You can book a reservation here in complete confidence that your stay will be beyond enjoyable.

Wine country cottage
The cottage was perfect for my wife and I staying there three nights. 5hey made sure everything we needed was there and so very clean. The cottage is away from the crowds which we loved. My wife enjoyed the. Is it’s from a family of deer several times a day. The host provided some great suggestions to fit what we were looking for. Thanks again for a really nice stay.

Charming Secluded Cottage
This charming cottage had everything I needed for a few days away from the city. It is located at the end of a private road, so there were no cars driving by. I couldn't see any other homes near me, although the host was just on the other side of the trees and was quick to assist with any needs or questions. Although it felt very secluded, it wasn't too far from nearby towns. The newly built cottage had many thoughtful details including large windows downstairs, a USB charging hub and makeup mirror in the bedroom, luggage stand, a fully equipped kitchen with every cooking pot/pan/utensil I could possibly need, snacks, a coffee bar with all the needed fixin's, robes and slippers in the bathroom, etc. etc. The porch had both rocking chairs and comfy chairs, along with a foot heater! There were lounge chairs by the creek out back (dry creek during my visit) and a porch swing in a tree, plus a fire pit. I saw deer grazing very close to the house just about every morning and evening. It was the perfect getaway I was looking for and I'll definitely be back!
