Wonderful family owned guest house w/ view!
This was a wonderful guest house and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We loved our room, which was clean, and equipped with everything we needed. We had a balcony as well. The rooftop was the best we had seen in Jodhpur and had an amazing view of the fort and the city. However, it was the family that we will remember forever. The two brothers running the show were fabulous! Their English was perfect and they helped us endlessly with whatever we asked. Wonderful food too! We recommend 100%! Great value. We even left our laptop charger and they found a way to get it to us in Udaipur. Very honest and trustworthy!

Nice room and staff. Roof has an incredible view! Food is fairly good, and the shower is nice with good hot water and pressure. It’s located away slightly from the noisy streets so it’s a pretty quiet place to sleep

Horrible experience in hotel. Never ever stay here
I had booked this guest house for stay in 28 and 29 Dec 2015. The entrance to this guest house is through narrow lanes and by-lanes and you cannot enter even with luggage. Entire lanes are full of filth. The guest house has no attendant, the owner tries to manage himself. One side he stays with his family and the other side he rents as guest house. Stairs to rooms are steep without railings and climbing them with your luggage is quite dangerous. This guest house mostly accommodates vagabonds who elsewhere cannot find any stay. My recommendation is always avoid this guest house and never ever book here to stay.

Hidden gem
looks nothing from outside but beatiful bedroom with good aircon comfy bed, balcony and mediaeval atmosphere. Near castle, stunning views over city from roof restaurant. Good simple food, wonderfully helpful staff who even showed us how to fly a kite. Only real downside dirty tablecloths - tiny drawback in view of general excellence..

Not a nice time being an Indian in India
Please refrain from booking a stay at Kesar Heritage Guest House. I had booked 2 rooms from Thu 26/Dec/2013 Sat till 28/Dec/2013. My aged parents were also with me. I had called them 2 times before the travel date and confirmed the stay just to make sure there won't be any issues in spite of booking via expedia and paying the full money 2 weeks back. I also requested for an early checkin and checkout over the phone before and Kesar guys agreed for that. I was concerned because i have my aged parents and young kids with me. Day#1. I reached Kesar Heritage house at 8AM in the morning. They told me to wait for 10 mins. I waited for 1 hr and then they told me rooms will be empty only at 10 and I had to wait till then. Finally I waited till 10:30. Then they got me into a low class Hotel nearby (Hare Rama hotel) saying my room was in top floor and they are doing it for the convenience of my old parents. This new hotel was half as good as the hotel rooms in Kesar Heritage guest house. But for the convenience of my parents I agreed to that. Day#2: They asked me to vacate this room and move to a new room. I got totally irritated and demanded clear answers over a phone call to their manager. Unfortunately I didn't get any answers and he hung my call. I went straight to him. He was giving me excuses that all rooms were full and we had no options but to shift to a different room or just move out. I felt not to fight with them and move to the other room because I had my wife kids and parents with me and fighting with localities isn't a wise decision. The different rooms provided to us were pathetic. It was totally dirty and we had bug bite all night sleeping on those beds provided. We didn't even have an attached toilet and we were forced to use their dirty common toilet. This room looked like a Rs. 200 lodge and we felt really bad to have stayed there one night with my parents, wife and kids. A horrible horrible 2 days. Kesar Heritage House was full of foreigners because it was christmas vacations. Foreigners obviously will pay more amount than Desi Indians. These guys are bunch of morons. They preferred to bounce around me and my family consisting of my 75 year old dad, 64 year old mom and kids aged 5 and 7. Inspite of booking 2 weeks before I am irritated to note that some foreigners were preferred over us who even had confirmed booking. This place is inside killi-khana market which is the dirtiest place you will find in whole Jodhpur even if it's under Mehrangarh fort. They have not shown any photos of the surroundings so that people doesn't know where they are going to. A guy from Kesar came and apologised to me towards the end. I am sure they were afraid of me giving such a review in Expedia and wanted to avoid that. I really respect the tradition of Rajasthan and hence chose to spend this vacation season there. But such people are destroying the name of this state and their culture. Please never ever consider booking in Kesar Heritage House if you are afraid of such a situation faced by me and my family. I have no idea how this place got a good rating. Aneesh

Great Place to stay!
Kesar was an awesome place to stay. The location was great - 15 mins walk to the fort, 5 mins walk to the clocktower. Both the owners(brothers) are very helpful and speak good english. Their rooftop is too good. We spent a lot of time sitting there and watching the fort and the sights of the city(with cameras).

Very nice person and nice Fort view
The owner is really kind and helpful !!! The place is a good budget choice and the position is perfect for sightseeing only 4 minutes by feet to the fort, blue city and bazar. If you are searching a warm people guest house but not in perfect condition this is your place to stay!

Tunnelma on rento, joten jos odotat henkilökunnalta jotenkin muodollisempaa käytöstä tämä ei ehkä ole sinun hotellisi. Me nautimme hotellin hyvästä sijainnista kapeitten kujien keskellä, mukavasta ja tilavasta huoneesta sekä välittömmästä tunnelmasta. Hotelliin saattaa olla vaikea löytää ensimmäisellä kerralla, joten saatat tarvita siihen apua.

Leider entsprechen nur die Doppel Deluxe-Zimmer einem annehmbaren Niveau (und nur diese sind im Internet abgebildet). Frühstück war in Ordnung, Abendessen nur eingeschränkt möglich, wenn der Koch = Chef nicht da ist. Personal war freundlich. Das Haus ist nicht geeignet für Personen, die schlecht Treppen steigen können.
