Relaxed cottage in quiet surroundings.
This well-maintained vacation home offers you a simple interior with a refined arrangement of the furnishings, creating a homely overall concept in which you will feel particularly comfortable. Make yourself comfortable with a read in the living room or enjoy your breakfast in the sun on the open terrace. Use the barbecue or the fireplace to end balmy summer evenings together while you roast stick bread or sizzle vegetables.
In the old, charming Kulhuse there is a harbor and a child-friendly sandy beach, stores and the large Nordskov within reach. In addition, the fjord is good for fishing and the ferry connection takes you to the other side of the fjord, to Sølager. Furthermore, you can also quickly get to Hundested, where there is a brewery, a glassblowing factory and workshops with handicrafts. In Kulhuse harbor you will also see the remains of the Englænderskansen defensive fortification built against the English in 1808 to protect the cannon factory in Frederiksværk. In Nordskov you will find the oldest oaks (600, 800 and 1500 years old) in Denmark and also in Europe, where you can follow the marked hiking trails. In the forest you will also find the royal hunting pavilion from 1857. In Jægerspris you will visit the old castle and treat yourself to an ice cream from Poulsens Isbod, which has been selling ice cream since 1913. The mill at Jægerspris is still in operation, and in the summer you can also buy fresh flour there. A little further is the nearest town Frederikssund, where you can go shopping and eat out. Also visit the hearty Roskilde, with its Viking museum, the cathedral and walk along the fjord.
