Disliked: Cleanliness
Bad service
We arrived at 10:30pm and the accommodation wasnt ready yet. There were 2 workers there who only spoke arabic. The apartment was given to us dirty but it was late and there wasnt anyone we could communicate with to resolve the issues.
I was also charged by Hotels.com and then the accommodation charged me again. I'm still trying to recover the double payment but the property has been unresponsive.
We stayed in a family unit with three beds in the property's basement and it was a very spacious unit. We really liked that the hotel is situated on a quiet street/alley just a minute's walk from limitless shopping, dining, transit options and we enjoyed walking to the old city down Jaffa street daily.
The staff was courteous and the value for the price paid was incredible. We would consider the property during an extended stay in Jerusalem again - it felt like we had our own private apartment in the middle of the city! I might opt for the upstairs premium unit next time as it looked very nice in passing, but we were more than happy with the accomodations.
Thank you for hosting us!
There is black mold on the shower ceiling and an unusable bathroom sink- extremely small. Poorly cleaned overall . Not sufficient toilet paper and towels. But it was very quiet.
I was highly disappointed. First of all there is no car access and you need to carry your luggage a good 5 minutes. Then I was shocked to see that the apartment was on the third floor, no elevator! The reservation didn’t mention that! In the apartment many things were broken. The table collapsed on us while eating dinner! The knob of the shower fell off and one bathroom sink was detached from the vanity. Bedroom and bathroom doors had no locks. The showers flooded the floors way out till the hallway. There were also mosquitoes and drain bugs. The good parts were that we were centrally located. The beds were comfortable and the a/c and fridge worked great.
Positives:
Property was located a 15-20 minute walk from the New Gate. Light rail is just a few steps away. Lovely, spacious bedrooms and living spaces. High ceilings, good light. 3 televisions!
Negatives:
Bathroom is extremely small! Room for only 1 person at a time. Space would not accommodate anyone who is overweight or with mobility issues. Shower is difficult to use because of orientation of shower head.
Kitchen is not well-stocked. There were very few utensils and dishes and absolutely no kitchen knives. Given its size, I expected to find a hot plate and a pot and pan for cooking (which would have been helpful during Shabbat when most restaurants are closed) but there is only a microwave and fridge. It should be called a kitchenette, not a kitchen.
Maintenance issues: leak in ceiling above the front door, broken drain cover in bathroom floor, broken toilet paper roll holder

Disliked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Dirty with flies, charged twice and not responsive
The room was full of flies (like 30-40) and they kept coming in, despite killing them. The room was dirty. The bathroom was like an airplane bathroom size. My hand was the size of the sink. They charged me twice, once thru hotels.com and directly to get the key. I brought it up multiple times and they said they would look into it and never fixed it. This is not a hotel, this is just a lockbox with no service or employees and they don't respond to their app.
Fairly well located, but not easy to get help; washroom very tight; clean; would have liked free tv channels in English (news? BBC, MSNBC, english Israeli news?)
