This cozy and comfortable unit is one of two units located in a private home in a residential area on the Atlantic Ocean at Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island, Florida. These two units, on the first floor of this home, provide a quiet, restful atmosphere far from the noise and activity of hotel or condo vacations.

The owners occupy the second floor, are available for any assistance, but are completely unobtrusive. The second unit in this home is a two bedroom and can be viewed at VRBO 221163. Rented together, eight guests can be accommodated. Please e-mail or call if interested in both units.

Each unit has its own private entrance, exits, grill, covered porches and decks.

This is a no smoking facility both inside and outside.

Located in a quiet residential area, this one bedroom, two bath unit provides a quiet and relaxing getaway to a beach that is never crowded. This unit was completely remodeled and features new appliances, furniture and jetted tub in the master bath.

The second bath is equipped with a roomy shower', Sliding glass doors from the living room open to the covered outdoor dining / sitting area. The attached sunning deck leads to the protective walkover to the beach.

Ocean Front Property
The unit was quite small and dark. Not much natural light. It's ocean front, which was great, but you can't see the ocean from the unit...we missed that and for that reason will not be renting again as that's important to us. They have a great decked walkway down to the beach and provide anything and everything you need for beachside fun - chairs, umbrellas, towels, etc. Unfortunately, we couldn't use it because it was a bit chilly when we were there. Plenty of pleasant outdoor area outside the unit with lots of seating. Hosts live upstairs and were/are very quiet. Communication with hosts was fine. Bedroom feels "cave-ish" with very low ceilings and lots of road noise. We're on the tall side and the queen bed was a bit small for us, but we managed to get quality sleep. :o)

Beautiful spot for a getaway!
My husband and I had such a lovely stay at this spot in Fernandina Beach. We visited the weekend after Thanksgiving and the beach was practically empty and was so peaceful! The place was super clean and cozy, with a beautiful view that we enjoyed every day. We loved having a full-sized kitchen and a private entrance—it felt so comfortable and private, just what we needed for a relaxing getaway. The walk to the beach was one of our favorite parts, and we even saw two turtles burrowed into the sand, which was such a cool surprise. The hosts were great, too! They live upstairs but were so respectful of our space that we never even saw them. Overall, it was just a great place for the two of us, and we’d definitely stay here again!

Perfect for 2-4 people
Nice apartment and kind owners. Having 2 full baths even though it’s a 1bed apartment is awesome. Functional kitchen with all needed appliances. Great deck and beautiful view of the dunes and water… can’t beat that! We only went out in the town one night and it was fun with a variety of option to eat and celebrate life.

We appreciated the attention to details supplying everything you could possibly need. Clean refrigerator with icemaker was great! Beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler, etc! Two negatives: Floor was covered in white dog hair. Unit was very dark.

I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a relaxing time at the beach. The beach is just steps away with no crowds whatsoever during our stay. The property is clean and well maintained and is well stocked with items you will need such as umbrellas, boogie boards, towels, etc.

Me and the wife were really impressed by the whole experience of this rental. Description of the rental on VRBO was very accurate. Nice private clean apartment with private access to the ocean. I read the reviews before we booked and everything is true. We didn't bring any beach gear with us including towels. Everything was provided including a new umbrella and beach chairs. Plenty of beach towels too. We have already booked this spot for next year. Thank you Brenda, it could not have been any easier.

Our Perfect Beach Get Away
We have stayed in a variety of places at Fernandina/Amelia from hotels, condos, bed and breakfasts, but this was by far the best beach experience that we have ever had. The description of the property and what we should expect was spot on...towels, beach umbrellas, chairs, washer/dryer, FULLY equipped kitchen, and 2 bathrooms (even for 2 people this was super nice). The large porch/deck was great for morning and evening relaxation, and direct walkway to the basically private beach was super convenient. We look forward to staying with Brenda and Jim again soon!

ANOTHER GREAT STAY!
We have stayed here the last two years and will return. Brenda and Jim are great hosts. The property is on an uncrowded section of the beach . The house is an old Florida home with a wonderful outdoor space. Everything you need is provided including beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach towels and even a cooler.

Pleasant, beautiful beach.
Nice location and dog friendly beach. My kind of beach which had lots of privacy. The owner Jim was pleasant and check in was very easy. His wife Brenda gave very good written communication and answered all my questions before arriving. I enjoyed the deck area with my service dog, Coco watching sunsets and rises. There was ample kitchen and bathroom supplies. Lots of movies to watch with a television in the living room and one in the bedroom. The jacuzzi tub was nice. Cute rental with some nice artistic paintings and decorated in a beach style. I would recommend a new mattress and repairing the walk way to the beach. I got a wood splinter in my finger that cut me. There was a first aide kit that was helpful. Also, some comfortable beach chairs would have been nice. There was quite a bit of noise a few mornings and afternoons due to some house repairs but I understand that these things happen. I am sure this doesn’t happen often. I do recommend this house rental and plan on returning. I felt safe having the owners and their son upstairs. Overall, pleasant experience and the owners are nice people who take pride in the care of their home and yard.
