Subject: Request for Consideration of Credit Due to Inaccurate Advertisement
Dear Expedia Customer Service,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Patrick C. Carmichael, and as a long-time loyal user of Expedia, I have always appreciated the quality of service and the memorable experiences you help create.
I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Fernandina Beach, where we enjoyed our time; however, I encountered an issue that I believe warrants your attention. We opted for an upgraded room specifically to enjoy the fireplace, which was advertised as a feature. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we discovered that the fireplace was not functioning.
When I brought this to the attention of the Hampton administration, they informed me that it was Expedia's responsibility for not clearly indicating that the fireplace was out of order in your listing. While I had anticipated a cozy evening by the fire, the lack of this feature was disappointing, especially since we chose this upgrade with that expectation in mind.
I am not seeking a refund; rather, I would greatly appreciate your consideration for a substantial credit towards my future bookings. This gesture would acknowledge the inconvenience we faced and reinforce my loyalty to Expedia.
