The room has amazing view of the sea and landmark of Istanbul. The room is spacious and clean. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The hotel is easy access and walkable distance to major attractions. Highly recommended!

Very friendly and helpful staff. They kept our bags for a couple of days while we travelled other areas of Turkey. As a recommendatio try to get rooms that are not in the first floor since the water pipes smell.

5 stars for staff, service and view from Bedroom. Can’t fault. Location - if you are in Turkey looking for tools, hardware or fixtures and fittings for bathrooms great place. If not, expect to be welcomed by this when you step out of hotel. Overall, location to get about is super convenient and as mentioned worth paying just for the view.

Amazing Hotel. Very prime location, affordable prices and the best part is amazing staff. I highly recommend this place. Staff will greet you with best Lemonade you can have in Istanbul. Would like to stay here if I visit Istanbul anytime in Future.

Wonderful property, on a busy main road though but please don't let that worry you, just bring ear plugs. The room we had was on floor 5 with a fabulous view over the river and the Sultanahmet district. The property was clean and the staff warm and friendly and genuinely interested in their guests and making sure they had everything needed. Berk, provided us with tea or coffee each morning if we wanted it at no extra charge. Lovely lad and we hope he enjoys his adventures in Slovakia next year. The location was excellent being at the foot of the hill for the Galata Tower, make sure you bring decent footwear. Great choice of eating places and a stone's throw from the Galata pier for ferries to the Asian side or the Galata bridge to get over to the Sultanahmet district where most of the big Mosques, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Market are. Overall, great hotel with great staff in a great location.

We arrived our property late but Omar the night receptionist made us feel very welcomed, he had great energy and a positive attitude. He gave us lots of tips to navigate the city and was very helpful in arranging transportation etc. Rest of the staff was awesome as well whenever we needed anything. Hotel was situated near the tran station and was very convenient to reach to the main tourist destinations but yet not in a too touristy area. View from our room was stunning as well. Highly recommended!!

Location is great for touristy activities, it’s in the middle of many spots and many public transportation stops. However, it also happens to be surrounded by some noisy hardware shops. The staff members were incredibly kind and provided unbeatable service. The lemonade was very tasty. There was no breakfast, but they had limited portions of simit and tea. The only thing was that there were several power outages (beyond the control of the hotel), at times for many hours. When the power is restored, everything turned on and the phone rang, which was alarming when it happened in the middle of the night.

My request was well reflected. The night view from the 8th floor is so pretty. It is comfortable and nice. Karakoy Station is close, and the port is also close. It was easy to get to the old city, Taksim, Dolmabahce, Balat district, and the Asian district. The staff was very friendly. I went back with good memories of Turkey. I will choose this place next time I come.

This hotel is in a great neighborhood, surrounded by stores that cater to workers (plumbing, electrical, etc) and you feel you are really in Istanbul. It’s a block from the bosphorous, between the metro and Galata bridges. Fantastic location, fantastic staff, clean and nice rooms, highly recommend!

Union Hotel Karakoy is a great hotel in the heart of Karakoy. The building is newly renovated and looks beautiful. The staff are really what set the building apart though - the professionalism and quality of service were excellent. We interacted with Casim on a few occasions and he went above and beyond for us each time. The team is knowledgeable and attentive, providing info about the city and its many tourist attractions worth visiting. The location is great, being close enough to walk to nearly all major sites you'd want to check out in the city, including it's incredible food scene. That being said, it's on a fairly busy main road, which means the street traffic can be a bit loud overnight even with the windows closed. Overall, it's a great place to call home for a short stay in Istanbul, with wonderful resources as your disposal while there.
