In the Finnish sauna you will fully unwind after an exhilarating day in the beautiful surroundings. There are 4 public e-chargers available in the village. A big advantage of Donnersbachtal is its location in the Austrian state of Styria, not far from Salzburgerland. You pass the border crossing at Passau and thus avoid Munich. As a result, even in high season, you'll drive towards your holiday traffic jam-free! The accommodation in Donnersbachwald is located on a gentle slope with breathtaking views. With its fantastic location near the Riesneralm valley station, the park offers direct access to nature and a babbling brook.

The Austrian winter transforms the area into a fairyland with two snow-sure ski areas, Riesneralm and Planneralm, together accounting for 50 km of slopes. For families, the child-friendly Riesneralm is ideal. Looking for variety? Try the natural toboggan run or cross-country trails close to the chalet.

Summer reveals a different kind of magic with various hiking trails, mountain huts, the challenging 5-Gipfelweg, 3D archery, the E-Enduro Bikepark and fly-fishing. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the unique Gipfel pool, at 1900 metres above sea level, and admire the 360-degree view there. Mountain lakes and streams will cool you down on hot summer days. A dream spot from January to December!

Schönes Haus auf einer Baustelle (Stand Mitte Juni 2021)
Das neu erbaute Haus ist sehr schön, aber leider geht aus der Beschreibung (die zwar von Unannehmlichkeiten wegen benachbarten Baustellentätigkeiten spricht) nicht deutlich genug hervor, dass man auf einer Baustelle wohnt. Die Zufahrtswege sind staubige Baustellenstraßen, der Parkplatz des Hauses und der Zuweg zur Haustür waren noch nicht fertiggestellt. Außerdem handelt es sich um ein Feriendorf mit 36 gleichen Häusern, von denen etliche noch im Bau sind. Auf der Terrasse sitzend konnte man die Bautätigkeiten am unmittelbar benachbarten Haus beobachten. Die Arbeitszeiten der Bauarbeiter begannen morgens um 6 Uhr und endeten teilweise erst mit Einbruch der Dunkelheit. Es gab Erdarbeiten mit Baggern, Dachdeck-, Verputz- und Elektoarbeiten etc. in unmittelbarer Nähe. Ein ruhiges Urlaubsfeeling kam so recht nicht auf.
