Good overnight stay for early morning train
We had to catch an early morning (6:30 AM) train from Interlaken West, so found this place that is literally a 5 minutes walk from the train station. Room was clean and neat. Check in process was smooth. They had a very nice breakfast spread early for us.

I would give this hotel two stars. It is clean and located 5 minutes away from Interlaken west train station. The room is extremely basic. No AC and no screens on the windows.

Well suited to my needs
I'm travelling around Switzerland by rail and this hotel was very convenient for me as it is situated just a few minutes from Interlaken West station.The hotel provides a transit pass, which can be used to take buses and trains in the city area. All the amenities a traveller needs are in walking distance. Service was good, staff werefriendly, breakfast was ample and there was always space available in the breakfast room.

Not bad but not that great.
Very basic for a reasonable price for the area. Super nice staff but the room was a bit shabby and the bathroom has seen better days. The hairdryer didn't work and there was a bit of a funky smell although it seemed ckean. Thin walls let through our neighbor's loud talking. The breakfast was pretty good.

great services and staffs. it just that no AC in the room and the fan is a small portable one (not a ceiling fan) so it takes a long time to cool you down so like to see AC installed. Room a bit small but I can understand because the hotel is not very big either so I believe the hotel owner is trying very hard to provide good services to the customers. I stayed here 5 nights, hotel has free breakfast but it served the same breakfast menu every morning. would like to see the hotel changes its breakfast menu each morning.

From the outside it doesn’t look like much, and it’s not in the flashiest of Interlaken’s neighborhoods, but inside everything is discovered to be quite fine, beginning with the helpful and agreeable staff at the front desk and ending with the hard-working and accommodating staff busy with the breakfasts (all of whom are proficient in English for those who might be worried about language issues). Perhaps the best thing about this hotel is its location on the southern edge of the town, meaning that if you have a car you’re not more than 10 minutes from the road into the Lauterbrunnen Valleys (and If you don’t have a car, you’re not more than a 10-minute walk to the West Station for the trains or buses). The room was on the large side by typical European standards. For a couple traveling together, it meant that we could each be moving about without getting into each other’s space (important to my wife). The beds were not luxurious but certainly comfortable enough to suit tired explorers. Oh, and there was a small refrigerator in the room which was quite useful to us. The complimentary breakfast is what one would expect at European hotels—an assortment of meats, breads, some cereals, but also scrambled eggs served with sides of cooked mushrooms and tomatoes (more than enough to adequately fuel those explorers for the day ahead). My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Crystal for three days and had no regrets. Would we stay there again if in Interlaken? Absolutely.
