In this village on the banks of the Loire, between Angers and Nantes, you will be charmed by this old house with 3 levels, with noble materials (terracotta tiles, old parquet flooring, tuffeau stone characteristic of the Loire, ...) and its 60m² terrace facing south overlooking the Loire.
On the ground floor, you will have a living room with television, a fully equipped kitchen (fridge, oven, dishwasher, induction hob, ...) with direct access to the terrace. To warm up in winter after long walks, you can use the wood stove (wood not provided).
On each floor, you will find two bedrooms sharing the same bathroom with bathtub and toilet: one has two 90cm beds and the other has a 160x200cm double bed. The bathrooms are adjoining one of the bedrooms and do not have independent access. A separate toilet is on the ground floor.
Outside, you will enjoy a beautiful terrace with garden furniture, deckchairs and parasol, the ideal place to relax and admire the Loire which varies with the hours and seasons. For your comfort and to lighten your suitcases, the beds are made on your arrival and the towels are provided. The owners, passionate about history and second-hand objects, will be happy to share with you the history of this village.
The cottage does not have private parking but you can park in the surrounding streets or in the free public car park 50m away.
A historic border between Anjou and Brittany and a former trading port, the village offers many services (crêperie, pizzeria, bar and restaurants, ...) and entertainment in season as well as a beach on the other side of the Loire in summer. You can also walk or cycle along the Loire à Vélo circuit and discover the surrounding villages (Saint Florent le Vieil and its abbey, Chalonnes sur Loire and its market, Béhuard Island, etc.) or fish along the banks of the Loire. Fancy a city break? Angers and its mild climate is 30 minutes away (20 minutes by train) and if you prefer Nantes, its journey and its famous machines, you can get there in 50 minutes by car or 30 minutes by train, the station is a 10-minute walk away. Other activities nearby: the Loire wine route, the Château de Serrant in St Georges sur Loire, cruises on the Loire, canoe rental. The Terra Botanica plant park is 30 minutes away and Le Puy du Fou is 1 hour away.
