1898 historical beauty
My room did not have a bathroom, but the available one just down the hall was very clean and I think I was the only one using it. Day or night it was clean, close and always available. The staff were excellent, so friendly and attentive. Because the hotel is quite old and historically registered, there were few modern conveniences in the rooms, but not missed to be sure! I watched my "TV" on my phone and they do have excellent wifi availability.

Hotel and town of Index are both gems
A beautifully restored historic property in a very sweet little town. Abundant hiking and natural beauty. The restaurant at the hotel is way better than it has to be — the chef knows how to cook. We will definitely be back!

Great place to stay
Very clean. Owner friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to get me a glass of ice water when I arrived hot and tired. We loved this gem of a hotel and will be back. The ride is beautiful leading to the hotel. The view is spectacular.

This os a wonderful place to stay in all respects! And the shared bathrooms are no problem at all: my husband and I each had one to ourselves, they lock so you have privacy alone, and they are modern, sparkling clean and huge! This inn is fantastic!

The Bush House is amazing! It's an OLD building, so it's a little quirky, but they've maintained it extremely well. It's very clean, and the people are all so nice. Our room's hardwood floors had some slivers popping up, but other than that, the place appears to be in pristine condition! Definitely will stay there again, if we have the occasion to be stopping in the area.
