The rooms were clean and as expected. The bathrooms and toilets were fine as well. The staff was pleasant. It was advertised that there was a restaurant and even on a chalkboard outside, there were daily specials written but we were told there was no food for purchase. This was a challenge given the remote location of the hostel and that restaurants closed very early. We did find a grocery store that closed at 7pm. The available kitchen facilities were cluttered, dark and poorly stocked. There wasn’t dish soap available. If you want just a room to stay in, Ohana Guesthouse and ‘Cafe’ is fine but the listed amenities are not present.

Pretty decent place overall. Only problem is that the walls are paper thin and you can hear conversations from the common areas and other rooms. I was woken up at 2am when other guests were hanging out in the common room.
Guest house ohana was great. It was located in a really small town, so there wasn't much around. They do have an onsen only 1km away. I went there and it was perfect after biking all day. There was also a great view of the beach from the onsen. Definitely worth it to go. They do close at 8pm though. Also the food places seem to close early. The supermarket that was really close by closed at 7pm and restaurants were closing at 7-7:30pm. So eat early, or get food to eat later. The host was very nice and friendly. The rooms were very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The only thing I didn't expect was they didn't provide shampoo and soap. I didn't carry any on my bike ride, but I bought some at the onsen, so that was ok. Overall, my stay was great and just what I needed after biking all day. I would come back if I were to bike the shimanami kaido again. Perfect distance from the start for me. Just about half way.

Bare minimum.
It's a cheap place to crash if you're doing a 2-day biking trip across the islands. "Guesthouse" (hostel) does not provide shampoo or soap, so be sure to bring some.
