I do NOT recommend the Hyatt. So many problems starting with a TWO hour wait for the complimentary shuttle bus from the airport but we were assured all three times we called that the shuttle was “on the way”. This property is in very bad shape with cracks and tears in the common area furniture, and broken pool loungers. Our room was ready and appeared clean, BUT the mattress was old and sagging, our towels were threadbare and some had holes in them, the shower head was cracked and the bathtub faucet was not attached securely to the wall. We had only scalding water in the shower and little to no pressure. Our shower curtain smelled of mildew and there was an overriding smell of mildew throughout the room. The sink drain plug was unusual to say the least and in order to close or open the drain plug you had to reach under the sink and pull on a metal rod. No place to put a bar of soap as there were no soap dishes and the soap slid all over the wet counter. The toilet seat had a large crack in it. Wow. The bar fridge was not anchored to anything so when you open the door, the bar fridge would fall forward. I moved the decorative carpet that was tucked under the couch only to find candy wrappers and a few broken pens with the large dust bunnies as they definitely did not vacuum that carpet. And the walls are definitely thin as we heard our neighbour’s alarm, tv and music. The positives; excellent pleasant, helpful staff and great breakfasts. Still, don’t book this hotel!

The only hotel I stay in the many times I’ve been to Houston. Always been clean always had friendly people servicing. Breakfast is good too.

While I appreciated the spacious and clean room, with a comfortable bed that made for a pleasant stay, I was disappointed to find that the promised free airport shuttle was not available when I arrived. This miscommunication added unnecessary stress to my travel plans. Overall, the room itself was great, but the lack of the shuttle service was a letdown. I hope they can clarify this aspect for future guests.

I have stayed at many Hyatt Place hotels all over the US and this by far is a total disappointment to the Hyatt name brand. The staff was nice but that was about it. The tv channel selections were limited in comparison to other quality hotels. The carpets are dingy and look like they have never been cleaned. There was an odor of marijuana in the hallways. The grounds did not look well taken care of and it is evident from the gates/fences that are supposed to secure the facility were damaged and barely secured with a lock and chain. I will definitely NOT recommend ANYONE staying at this hotel location and hope that someone from Expedia or Hyatt reaches out to me or anyone else that has stayed there recently. They need a HUGE makeover. DO NOT STAY THERE!
