Love this place!
They have always been so kind and the facility is always clean (and still is). I had to ask for towels and wash cloths the last couple of visits, which I found odd. But they didn’t question it and apologized. I will still return for my visits. Always clean, beds are so comfortable, room is spacious. Area is safe and easy access to medical center and eating places

The breakfast was terrible service, no hot water, stale breads, bad service and not so clean! There was no ventilation in bathroom, and the sound of refrigerator was horrible! Very noisy area, right beside a busy street. Bathroom faucet was not functioning properly and water was everywhere in bathroom sink! I will not come back there!

We keep coming back!
This was the second time my husband and I have stayed at Hotel Ylem. The hotel is only about an 8 minute drive to MD Anderson. The staff are great. Always kind and helpful. Tony was a great bar tender. The rooms are very spacious. You do see some wear and tear but everything is clean. The neighborhood has lots of food options and a Target and Kroger's right around the corner. Breakfast was pancakes, bacon, eggs, cereal, muffins and other things. Yummy! Just a few cons: the shower water takes FOREVER to heat up. Seriously, turn the shower on before you even have all of your things together and it may be warm when you step in. A tray or table to eat on would be great instead of eating on the bed. We had no clue how to use the coffee pot. Water kept leaking everywhere. Shelves in the shower and a soap dish by the sink would be so helpful. Lamps on the bedside tables would great! Besides these things, we would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone.

Sorry to say that this was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had! No management on property. Employees nice but lack supervision and training. Supposed to be there for 6 nights. On the third night, there was water from the above room coming into our room in the middle of the night through the light fixture. It took time to get a hold of management and maintenance to find another room.
