Peace and Quiet
We enjoyed the home and the owner was very accommodating. Loved the peace and quiet. Coming into the driveway, there was junk on either side of it, like a junkyard. The inside of the house needed to be finished, like many rooms were in need of final painting. If that was all taken care of, it would be perfect! The location, wildlife, and serenity made the negatives tolerable. We would stay there again!

I was unable to stay and made a mistake while booking. Steve was amazing and helped me get a full refund back. I will definitely stay in the future when I am looking for a B&B in that area. Thanks Steve!

Absolutely AMAZING!
We had a bachelorette party stay for the night. Not only was Steve accommodating, he went above and beyond what any host should do. He let us know to call if we ran into any issues, and would come and pick us up. We had a wonderful night and were able to have a fire later that evening. After we had coffee and a fresh fruit breakfast, Steve helped us pack up. After leaving, one of our ladies cars dropped their whole exhaust system at the end of his driveway. I called and let him know what happened, and he rushed down with his truck and a jack. He climbed underneath the car and wired up the muffler and exhaust manifold so we could limp the car home. He went so far out of his way to make our stay wonderful. He would get 7.86364 stars out of 5. Extra decimal points for the cinnamon rolls and variety of coffee creamers!

Awesome!
Some how VRBO had dates available that were not actually available but Steve made arrangements so we could still stay! Steve also made breakfast with fresh fruit and arranged it every morning! We left our swim suits out to dry after a river float one day and he didn't just take them down and bring them in he went as far as to wash and dry them for us. We have never felt so welcomed! Definitely will stay again when we are in the area again and definitely recommending to friends and family! Thanks Steve for a great and comfortable stay! **The Petroff's**

Daughters Bachelorette Weekend
This was a great weekend and from the minute I booked this place, Steve was very helpful and super friendly. We arrived on Friday evening and Steve called to make sure everything was okay and if we needed anything. There was plenty of room for all of us. Even last minute adding use of the camper - Steve was super accommodating and made sure the air conditioning was running. Breakfast rolls and fruit in the morning was great. We had plenty of room to spread out and also able to decorate a little for the shower. Definitely a great place to stay with a large group!! There were 12 of us!!

Stay from hell
The main issue with the stay was that the host was living on site with us. He did background checks, threw the information in our faces, and made us confine to a small camper while he double booked our rooms. He harassed our guys and even had his son follow one of them around town in his vehicle. He went through our personal property as well and entered our sleeping cooridors while we slept.

Super Hospitality + Comfortable Accommodations
We booked four rooms at Steve's property for a Bachelorette Party weekend for a group of seven. Steve communicated very well as soon as I first made the reservation and confirming details up until our stay. The property is beautiful and the location was very convenient for us to take in activities in Hudson and Stillwater. We easily arranged for group transportation to and from the house (wine tour around the area during the day and downtown Stillwater in the evening). Booking the property I knew Steve lived onsite, but didn't fully realize at the time that there could also be other guests in the house as well. Had I known there would be another couple staying in another room the second night we were there I may have reconsidered the reservation, however it ended up not disrupting any of our plans; there was plenty of space for all and we didn't really overlap. That said, the property felt more like a bed and breakfast - just good to consider for anyone uncomfortable with other guests or host onsite. We enjoyed full use of the kitchen and living spaces to relax, hang out, and dump all our "stuff" for the weekend. The spaces were very comfortable and well fitting for our group. Both mornings Steve set out fresh fruit, tasty cinnamon rolls and good coffee and tea for us to enjoy -- that was a wonderful treat! Steve's hospitality was top notch! It's evident that he takes pride in his property (lots of projects in progress), cares about making his guest's experiences great, and enjoys hosting. His space was perfect for our girls weekend and he helped make it memorable! I would come back if we were visiting the area again. Thank you, Steve!

Can't say a ton, I checked in after dark and checked out before sun up. Seemed nice. Quiet. So glad I didn't go with a hotel. Comfortable room and friendly host quick to respond to inquiries. Felt a bit like a bed and breakfast, no complaints at all, hope to come back when can stay longer.

Great location between for a weekend getaway!
If you are traveling between Stillwater, MN, Husdson, and St. Croix Falls, WI area you can't beat this location. My sister and I went the first weekend in December and had an absolutely wonderful time. We went to downtown Hudson for the Friday night, holiday downtown event. There were still-models in the store windows, all decorated for the holidays. The stores were open until 9:00 p.m., and there were carriage rides, and candle lit paths. Saturday morning we woke up to fruit, mini rolls, and the best coffee! Thank you Steve! From there, we went to Oseola (on a recomendation), St. Croix Falls, andTaylor Falls area. It was worth the drive. From Taylor Falls, we drove down the Minnesota side to Stillwater to spend the afternoon and evening. It was a relaxing, "just what we needed" weekend. We had our privacy and one of the bedrooms had a couch and glider chair. We relaxed upstairs with wine and chocolate and caught up on family events after our dinner at Marx in Stillwater. If you want a great atmosphere, good wine and and awesome meal, its THE place to go! Plan ahead with reservations two weeks in advance, or more. On Sunday morning it snowed so we planned to leave early. Steve brushed off the snow from our cars and coffee was made. The hospitality was wonderful, a very nice experience. When you drive down the driveway of this VRBO, don't let the outside make you hesitate. There is a bit of clean-up needed, but the inside of the house was clean, rooms and beds comfy, and the host, amazing! Thank you Steve for making our weekend special! Sue and Stacy

Stayed overnight and hosted an extended family gathering.
Steve was great about allowing us to host our family gathering in his home. He helped us gather the needed chairs and tables and gave us full use of the kitchen. As far as sleeping, the beds were very comfortable. He had great coffe and fruit put for us in the mornings as well as cinnamon rolls. He was good at communicating right from the start. It’s a beautiful place in a country/wooded area. Nice place to get away!

Perfect for a Bachelorette Party!
Steve is an awesome host. Righter after I booked the property, he called me and answered all of my questions. I could tell talking to him that he loves hosting people in his home. The home is super cool, we were all really impressed with the layout and what he has done with the space. Its a really good location to go out in Stillwater or Hudson. We rented a van and had my sober sister drive us, but he also told me about a company that would be able to transport our group if we needed it. He has a pizza oven which was really nice after we were out at the bar. We left kind of a mess in the kitchen before going to be at 4am... (which I feel bad about, sorry Steve!) He cleaned it all up in the morning and made us a really nice breakfast spread. We all enjoyed chatting with him over our breakfast (although some of us had too many adult beverages and couldn't eat the delicious food, which we feel bad about!). Highly recommend!

enjoyable stay
I had a relaxed and enjoyable stay after a long drive up from NC. I had an issue that could have jeopardized the purpose of my trip. Steve spent several hours helping me correct the problem. His effort saved my trip. The house is down a quiet lane on a secluded lot. Plenty of animals to see all day long. I would recommend this location

This rental was perfect for our group. Steve was very kind and accommodating. He had a wonderful spread of fruit and rolls out for us in the morning, coffee ready, many choices of coffee creamer. Like Steve stated the home is “a work in progress” but it is a large, beautiful home and had everything we needed and more.
