After our experience at the Maui Coast hotel, this was lower quality in all areas. The pool was pretty small and not enough pool chairs. The hot tub was old and only had a few working jets and needed a good cleaning. Parking was nonexistent (valet always full) and the options provided were more expensive than the car rental.

Great property & experience! Staff felt like family. Only thing is, both beds were used.. just neatly folded sheets.. I got about 7 bed bug bites (ew ik!) We also found dried up blood on the other bed.. but other than that, what a great spot to first land in, in Honolulu

The hotel staff were nice, and I really enjoyed the pool area, restaurant, bar, and café. We barely needed to leave the property since the food was delicious, and they even offer a free piña colada and beer. If you're a kamaʻāina (local resident), you also get discounts, which is a great perk. However, the biggest downside was that the valet was full. When I asked the front desk about parking, they literally said, "Yeah, no valet, no self-parking. Sorry." They handed us a list of parking areas, but none were viable options. Take it from me, Waikiki has no parking, so hearing that the hotel offers no parking at all is incredibly frustrating, especially when you're tired. This was just a staycation for us, but I can only imagine how upsetting it would be if you'd just arrived from the airport. It's inconvenient and would be especially stressful for first-time visitors unfamiliar with the area. There might be a chance that you might park in a sketchy area due to limited parking and that would definitely be a negative experience. We ended up having to park three blocks away, and we already considered that lucky. But we had to make sure we moved the car in the morning to avoid getting towed. If Wayfinder can fix the parking issue—perhaps by contracting with the nearest parking structure and offering a shuttle—this would be a great hotel. Otherwise, if you're planning to stay here, don’t get a car. Just Uber to avoid the hassle. Because of this issue, I had to take off two stars

Love the vibe, stay at the Wayfinder!
Our stay was wonderful. All the extras were fantastic. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had fun getting to know the poolside bartenders and pool staff. Kaden is awesome. The room service was good but late in the day. Bath soap wasn’t monitored and more towels could be useful. The glasses provided should be changed daily as well.

Stayed at the Wayfinder for 3 nights! It was great super walkable to the beach, restaurants, and shops. Cute free bottle of wine when you first arrive to the room, tokens for a free pina colada at the pool as well! Staff was great and friendly as well would definitely stay here again!

Cute little boutique hotel, centrally located. Steps to Waikiki beach and international centre shopping area. We were initially given a room on the 2nd floor and the noise was terrible, can’t imagine anybody being okay and able to sleep in any of those rooms. Staff was quick to respond but we went from a king size room to a double as everything else would’ve been an upgrade and required us to pay extra even though those rooms were not occupied for that night. Customer service was okay, they don’t really go above and beyond. You get what you pay for. Nothing really stood out at all. Will not be rebooking the next time we come back to Honolulu

This is probably our favorite hotel on Oahu. They did a fabulous job with the rooms and theming. The pool area is a haven and so enjoyable - and the free drinks tokens are a nice bonus. The only downer I can say regarding the hotel is the lack of parking - though this is an issue with most Honolulu area hotels.

Hidden gem in Waikiki
We had 2 nights in Waikiki on our way home from Australia. Wayfinder was exactly what we needed, had a wonderful room, AMAZING bed and a pool! Definitely recommend this little gem!

Excellent pool and a functional gym for all but the largest. Daily fitness classes. Laidback and comfortable, 10 minute walk to Waikiki beaches. Very up to date but don’t expect shiny new everything.

Wayfinder Waikiki is absolutely stunning! From the moment I booked with them they have given me such a caring, personal, authentic experience. They reached out to me and I told them that I would be island hopping for my birthday and they honestly made everything so unique and special for me! They set up an entire welcome birthday display with balloons and fresh hibiscus flowers!! They also gave me a complimentary snack pack which included alcohol spritzers! They offer discounts on their restaurant and alot of local activities including snorkeling and they’re in the middle of everything!!! The only issue I had is parking is not included it’s an extra $45 PER night and Honolulu is really terrible when it comes to parking. You cannot find a thing and have to like fight with people for parking or like spend an extra couple hundred depending on how many days you stay JUST to park and I’m used to parking being included in my hotel stays usually. Our second night my partner had to stay in the car for two hours on the strip waiting for a parking spot and so we couldn’t really go out walking and that upset me a bit, but I don’t fully blame Wayfinder for that, more Waikiki’s layout if you get what I’m saying!
