room is not very sound proof cause of the glass shutter windows. second day of stay wifi and elevator stopped working. elevator was fixed late in the evening, wifi has not worked since our 4 nights stay but was refunded $45USD which we thought was fair, but it should’ve been fixed cause wifi is a big part of a hotel experience.

The property did not have internet. It is a very basic hotel . The staff are friendly. The noise of heavy machine and construction does not let you sleep from really early in the morning event on Saturday. The area is good.

Place to sleep
If you just need a place to sleep, then this is a good deal motel/hotel. Clean and conveniently located 1.5 blocks from the beach. They provide beach chairs and towels. The room was very clean and bed was comfortable. The AC worked well. The windows were old and semi open with no sound proof. It was very noise from all the traffic fromnthe busy street bellow and people talking on a bar or restaurant accross the street. Thankfully I brought my ear loops/plug so I ended up sleeping well despite the noise. The hotel is old but functional.

Windows are not real windows, they are "jalousie" windows (like shutters), so there is nothing to keep out sound from outside and that area of the city is very noisy. They were also doing construction right next door at 6:30am every day. My AC was broken so it was way too hot, even at night. Mattress was arguably the worst mattress I've ever slept on, my shoulders would go numb while sleeping on my side. It's also way too bright in the room at night, making it very hard to sleep. Their "all-day coffee bar" that they charge you $30 a day for is two keurig machines on a folding tableTHEY WILL CHARGE YOU HOTEL/RESORT FEES WHEN YOU GET THERE. No idea how this place has the reviews that it does, but I will not stay there again.

This hotel was good value for the money but our room was barely adequate. There was nowhere to lay your stuff down. And the bathroom was so small you had to get out of it to dry yourself after a shower! The beach was minutes away though.

The room was spacious but the decor was a bit dated. The room was cleaned everyday but the carpet is kinda dirty due to the years I suppose. The staff is friendly. The coffee in the morning was good. Wang Chung bar was lively. Overall it was a good stay.

Is close to the beach and restaurants but the night club downstairs is very noisy in the nights and have to ask to change the bed sheets most of the time, the service people are very friendly my complement to them for the excellent job they do

The property itself is a little dated and a little tired but from a value for money perspective it was great. Very easy to get to shops and the beach, the entire staff were warm and friendly and all about looking after you. I need a safe clean and tidy place to sleep of a night when I am on business - I don’t need the ego trip of top of the line, so this was great value for money to me.

Staff were courteous but property was not great. They had a 2 hour fire alarm go off and it shut down the elevators. I asked a staff what was going on during the alarm and they said they didn’t know. Later that day they put up signed dated 2 days prior that there would be a ‘safety drill’ that day. It wasn’t up before said ‘drill’. Don’t recommend us less you’re a hobbit and don’t mind hitting your head on sink, towel rack above toilet and love uncomfortable mattresses with contradiction next door that starts at 0630 daily.. you get what you pay for.

I don’t think this property should classify as a 3-star hotel. It’s more like a 2-star. For the positives: 1. The location is great 2. The rooms are spacious For the negatives: 1. The biggest negative is that the windows are just glass louvres that don’t provide any noise insulation and so you can hear everything on the street which makes it difficult to sleep. 2. The curtains are thin and don’t block out the light. 3. The bed was ok but I wouldn’t say comfortable 4. The staff are nice enough but provide only a perfunctory service. 5. They charged extra for wifi and coffee and tea, which was a not much of an offering. Basically just a communal domestic coffee machine. 6. The shower was not great and there was no plug to have a bath. 7. The Airconditioner was extremely loud I ended up staying in Waikiki longer than I originally planned but decided to move hotels because I couldn’t sleep properly and got a much better 3-star hotel for about the same price and location.
