Ok as a home-base, had some issues
Firstly, the staff here was great, they took great care of us and the beds were very comfortable. The bad: The suite was advertised to sleep 6 and it did not. Our room was as clean as it could be, but the tub was falling apart and was "covered" on the bottom that was some kind of plaster something that was coming up. The walls in the bathroom were crumbling. The hot water took a while to get, and there was mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. The " kitchenette" was very small and not really designed for cooking. We also had to request all the kitchen items, which took a while sometimes. We asked about laundry facilities which was advertised, and was told that there was a laundry mat a mile away. It was also advertised that parking was available and when we got there we were told it was valet only and mandatory $45 a day for parking, which were not expecting. The good: we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel, so the flaws are not something that weighed heavily on our family. They also gave us a snack treat everyorning. If you are just looking for a place to sleep and keep your stuff at, this a good place, it is close to many fun things and the beach!!!

Our stay at Ohia Waikiki Suites was a mixed experience. The staff were fantastic—friendly, attentive, and clearly took pride in keeping the hotel as clean as possible. The location is also a big plus, conveniently situated near the heart of Waikiki. However, the property itself is in desperate need of renovation. The hotel is very old, with worn-out outlets that couldn’t hold plugs, a patio door that wouldn’t lock, and walls and doors in poor condition. The safe in our room didn’t work and couldn’t be fixed during our stay. Parking was another challenge, as there’s no space for even temporary check-in parking unless you’re willing to pay $45 per night for valet. We ended up parking at the boat harbor, which required a mile-long walk each way. On the bright side, the bed was comfortable, and the staff really seemed to make the best of what they have to work with. If the hotel were renovated, it would be an incredible place to stay, but as it stands, it’s a place best suited for travelers prioritizing location over amenities.

Good location, friendly staff, extremely bad view of falling abandoned buildings. Room had mold, water dripping from ceiling to carpet. Bathroom needs a good Clorox, mold in shower. Very old, not updated. Hallways are dirty, carpet is stained and bad.

Staff is friendly and accommodating. The hotel is old and show some signs of it but it is clean and when something goes wrong, they are there quickly to fix it. The only negative is the shower. I don’t like the shower but that’s it.

This was by far the worst place I’ve stayed at. The curtains were DUCT TAPED together, you heard that right.. DUCT TAPE. The paint in the shower was peeling off the walls, not bathroom.. the shower… PEELING, excessively. You can’t even have a proper shower because the water actually had a foul odor that was so pungent I had to immediately turn it off. The carpet had OIL stains in them, the sheets were yellow! The photos you see online are not what the rooms look like at all! So unsanitary it’s amazing the state has not seized and shut them down. I reached out to Expedia but they basically couldn’t do anything because the front desk manager, Mike, said we should’ve told them. Well that’s great because the two times we tried to get some help no one was at the front desk. This place needs a state inspection immediately.
