When we arrived the staff was on strike and protesting below our room with megaphones and drums. I get they were protesting for better wages and management. I’m sure they deserve everything they are asking for. This was the start of our first destination vacation in 7 years. So not a great first experience to Hawaii. I will say The hotel is very nice and our room was very nice. We stayed one night and left the next morning to stay at another resort. We were set to stay for 7 days but left after the first night. I’m sure when they’re not on strike the resort is probably very nice to stay at. It has the lagoon and a great beach. It’s in a good location for dining and shopping. Maybe if we go back we might consider staying there again but I will definitely check to make sure the resort is not on strike or under construction. We should have been notified by Expedia and Hilton that the resort was on strike and they would have limited staff and the restaurants and other amenities would be closed.

I want my resort fee refunded. There was a strike hey had closed multiple restaurants, the skeleton staff knew nothings bout the property and were useless. No room service, no cleaning and we paid daily resort fees for no services. Will never go there again.

Beautiful area next to Waikiki Beach. There was a big strike going on while we were there and services were curtailed. Communication from management was inconsistent. The property is very crowded.

Hotel didn’t mention that the staff had been on strike for a whole month prior to our stay. We couldn’t sleep because they were chanting and there was no service and most amenities were closed due to no staff.

Beautiful property. Our stay would have been amazing had the hotel not been on strike. Chanting picketers out all day from 7am-10pm. They are at all the entrances to the property and along the beach. You can’t enjoy your balcony without hearing them with their bullhorns and drums. At night your can’t enjoy the beach for the same reason. All the beach bars are closed so you can’t enjoy a drink and watch the sunset. I’d pick a different hotel where you can actually enjoy the Hawaiian beaches and sunsets

The property advises you at check in to grab your own amenities on a certain floor. That due to the strike there’s limited staff. There would be one or two attendees at the front desk who most times couldn’t give you a proper answer. It’s as if they were just hired on. There’s so much noise from the workers on strike and it starts as early as 6:30am to 10pm. They’re upfront at the entrance and near the pool closest to the beach.. such a disappointment to have to be in the pool and yell at your family just so they could hear what you’re trying to say! Definitely regret booking at this hotel and wish they’d be more willing to discount the room rates given the lack of attentiveness and customer service!

We came to the hotel for a large wedding & all of us had a terrible experience, construction was going on & protesting/strike no customer service or hotel cleaning also restaurants closed for construction, this was not what we expected & probably want stay at hilton again

Unfortunately, the workers at this resort were on strike, which meant that the usual amenities and services were not available. I was disappointed that there were no warnings of this from either the Hilton or Expedia. Because of the strike, basic services like room cleaning and guest services were not provided. I feel that I should have been given the opportunity to decide whether or not I wanted to stay at this resort given the current labor dispute. Expedia should have informed us of this situation in advance.

We love the view and suite. Even though there was no house keeping the hotel was so nice and didn't charge the resort fee. There were plenty of towels which I loved. Very satisfied!

We were not aware that there was a union strike at the property. They would wake us up at 600am and stop around 11pm. We had no room service, had to go to a floor below us to get supplies, when we asked for a blanket that was stained with urine they acted like we were inconveniencing them.

First off,I was not aware of the loud protest going from 6am-10pm , I was there to relax but seemed better off staying home,there was no house keeping,5 night with no clean towels,no shampoo or necessary items to get by. And still had to pay resort fees? What a shame on Hilton,first time to Hawaii and last bc of this bad experience.

I was not aware of the union strike. The noise level was horrible and it was difficult driving in and out of the property. They started at 7 am and continued til midnight, we had no room service and the rooms did not get cleaned the entire 8 day stay.ww had to get our own room supplies towels for showers and the fridge door popped open and ruined our lunchmeats we purchased. Definitely would have booked elsewhere had we known
