Nice hotel but not a five star resort. Probably around four star with five star pricing. We used the Longboard club throughout our stay. The staff in there were great (especially Anson) but they served the same breakfast and evening snacks every day! Really repetitive and uninspiring and definitely not making it worth the money. Only other downside was there was only one pool and outdoor area on the fifth floor which was great - but they kicked you out when they rented the same area out to private events. Same with the Longboard club. Very greedy to charge you to use areas and then make them unavailable so they can charge again for corporate events!

Alohilani Resort is the place to stay!! Its location is perfect to the beach, shops and restaurants. The safe was very nice and helpful. You have plenty of food choices on the property as well within walking distance. We had a corner oceanfront suite and watched the sunrise and sunset everyday. The overall resort made you feel like you were indeed at a tropical location.

For what this hotel charges with stay and all fees it’s really not worth it. Looks nice in photos but in reality rooms are tiny I booked a full ocean view and looked more like a partial view. They do a poor job on stating that when booking there’s different rankings of “full” ocean views but for $1400 & get a partial ? No. Amenities are SUPER limited you have to pay additional for most. Shops open late & close early. Really the only good thing is the convenience of other stores , Waikiki beach, restaurants & shopping being walking distance. Was given a vip pass for discounts and even that excluded almost everything really just for their pool bar . WiFi also was super slow. Paying $30 a day for parking and it’s only about 2 floors of self park all other floors are for valet. Had a hard time finding parking one of my nights because no spots available they block out most even when not valet spots

Alohilani was a beautiful property, very clean, and very convenient/walkable to stores and dining options. My only issue is the resort fees because what they offer does not equal the amount a day it cost in fees; classes are limited to 10 people and no other perks are really included in your stay. They should incorporate airport transportation and put microwaves in the rooms because renting a microwave for $10 a day is asinine when it only takes 1 to 2 minutes to reheat food. Other than the fees, it is a wonderful hotel and I did enjoy my stay.

I loved the location, staff was very friendly and helpful. The things I did not like was the lack of lounge chairs around the pool. For the amount of people staying at the resort, the pool chairs did not accommodate for this. The wait time for an elevator was so slow.

The property was in a great location. We were super close to the beach and walking distance from so many restaurants. The pool was clean, the restaurants in hotel were okay... but not spectacular. Very basic and not cheap at all. What surprised me the most though for a 5 star resort were the rooms. They were not very updated... the AC was also always too strong and would cool the room too much even on low fan. We would constantly have to turn off and on to stay comfortable. Room service came at all times of the day... Our expectation is that by 1 PM when we return from the beach the rooms would be clean but sometimes they came as late as 4 PM to clean our room. We travelled with two napping kiddos so when they showed up at 2 PM to clean we had to turn them away and they would not return later to clean that day. To sum it all up, great location and amenities, rooms a bit of a disappointment.

Great view from oceant front room. Might be one of the best views. Staff communication was poor. Could not reach front desk by phone call a single time over 3 days. When i went to the front desk and said i could not reach them using the hotel room phone, they asked if i tried texting them. This seemed unreasonable, considering there is a hotel phone in the room, and also because tourists may not have a phone number to text with, or may be charged a lot through international roaming text messages. In the end it was never explained why they did not answer the phone despite me having tried over 10 times, to 3 different numbers available for guest services and housekeeping. There was resort credit we could get for not getting housekeeping, which we refused twice, but they said we would get credit for only once (but at check out, turns out we got it for 2 days in the end) and they said even without getting full housekeeping, we could still get towels and coffees etc restocked, so i requested that but we did not get that at all. I did mention that the trip was for a honeymoon so there was a nice gift waiting in the room when we first checked in, but after the 1st night, the above mentioned poor communication, meant overall it wasnt a great experience.
