This stunning and colorfully decorated beach home is just a few blocks from shopping, the free trolley, restaurants and either the Gulf or Bay beaches. This residence is truly special and offers the absolute best of both the "quiet" and "fun" worlds that Anna Maria has to offer. The romantic and private master bedroom has a comfy king size bed, a flat screen TV and private bathroom. A second bright and colorful bedroom is furnished with two twin beds and the cheerful guest room has a queen. A second bathroom helps to accommodate a houseful of guests and children. A heated pool, large round table with six chairs shaded by a big blue umbrella plus a barbeque all make entertaining al fresco a cinch. With a large patio, you will enjoy the glowing sunrise and sunsets each day, tropical breezes and egret visits. A kitchen stocked with cookbooks, wireless internet, walls decorated with original local art, a collection of seashells that will amaze, a flat screen television boasting Blu Ray, high definition. just are the beginning of the fun!

Comfortable Cottage
We come to AMI often and this property by far is the best that we've stayed at. The property was so clean and so comfortable! Close to the little down town, so close to the beach and a wonderful pool that is secluded, like a little lush sanctuary. We loved the cottage vibe, yet it was very roomy. We will most definitely rent this when we come back to AMI!!!

This property looks like a Paradise.
My stay in this house was amazing. This house is very beautiful, clean and feels like in home. Also, amazing and private backyard. During our stay in this house was a rainy day that made pool very green and dirty, so I contacted the owner and got immediate response within an hour pool was cleaned by professionals. Thank you very much.

Perfect house
We had a great time in late March for a week. We were a group of 2 adults and 3 large teenagers and there was plenty of room for all of us. Very comfortable and well-stocked house and great to have the pool as well. Only a 5 minute walk or 2 minute drive to a beautiful beach.

Gorgeous house
This was indeed a beautiful property in a quiet neighborhood close to the beach. However definitely bring your own supplies as there is very minimal basic supplies in the house. Maybe that’s the difference between renting from a rental agency versus a private owner but I was our first experience with finding very little in house. Also you may want to bring extra pillows as they were plenty of pillows but no pillowcases.

A perfect beach retreat
My husband & I decided to get away for a few days on our 15th anniversary in May (2021). This was our first time out since the Covid-19 pandemic, so we decided to stay somewhere not too far from home. Shell Cottage was just as advertised — it was VERY clean, well set up, in a quiet neighborhood, well supplied, close to Publix (within a short driving distance), and of course the beach! We loved its privacy, having the pool all to just ourselves, the peacefulness of the place, the comfortable mattresses in the cottage, and even the plethora of books one could choose to read while there! We had good internet connection too the entire time we were there. No complaints at all. Just an FYI: If you are a beach goer, you will need to walk a bit to get to a beach, but one can take one of the free island trolleys to whichever area you choose or drive a short distance. Sato Realty was very easy to deal with — they communicated well (my first time using VRBO) and everything was as they said it would be! VERY pleased with our stay, and no doubt will return again if we can!

The Best!!!
Not having visited Anna Maria Island before our stay at Shell Cottage, we weren't really sure what to expect. On occasion you get really lucky with blind picks. I'd say we hit the jackpot for an "easy, laid back livin'" vacation . The convenient location made strolls to the beach, breakfast and Ginny and Jane's or morning walks to the marina and back about as pleasurable of a way to start a day as one could hope for. We had seven of those days and wished we could have made it a fortnight. We're seniors so maybe the vibe was more appealing to us than others but the privacy of the pool, the home-away-from-home feel of the property and the amenities of AMI would likely work for anyone and will surely draw us back to Shell Cottage for years to come. Five stars . . . +!! Bill and Pat

Shell House
We had a girls trip and the Shell House was awesome. Very clean and comfortable and the pool was awesome, also kept very clean and very private as well. The only “complaint” we had is that we only had 1 bath towel and 1 beach towel so we had to wash them a lot, but only had 1 pack of laundry detergent. We also ran out of toilet paper. You will need to buy toilet paper and laundry detergent when you go to the store-also possibly paper towels depending on how much you’re cooking at the house. We also had to buy pool floats. Otherwise, the house was great.

Shell Cottage was the PERFECT stay for my family!!
The house was not too big, not to small, just cozy enough to fit my family of 5 comfortably (3 adults, 2 teens). It was clean and provided the necessary towels for bathing and the beach, kitchen utensils to cook several of our meals, and a washer & dryer to keep up with our laundry. We couldn't find the pool net to skim out the pool from the crazy rain/storm on our 1st day, but a quick phone call / email and that was remedied almost immediately. Also, one of the cords on a bedroom TV was taken by prior renters. We addressed it and another TV was brought over the next day. We were able to use the beach umbrella and chairs provided. Really, the only thing missing for us would have been a wagon to haul our beach supplies down the 5-8 minute walk to the beach. That would be a super-nice convenience to add to the house! Overall - a FANTASTIC experience. We loved the pool and my family members all say they'd love to come stay here again. Thanks Sato Team for a smooth experience!!

Practically Perfect!
Our family definitely enjoyed our stay at Shell Cottage. The house was clean, cozy and decorated perfectly! The linens were very nice and having pool towels provided was a plus. We loved the proximity to the beach and the quietness of the street/neighborhood. The rental agency was top notch and so easy to communicate with. The pool was great and we loved spending time swimming. The only negative was the mosquitoes...they were quiet vicious. It rained a lot when we arrived so they may have been bad due to the standing water on the island. This cottage is practically perfect in every way and we can’t wait to return for another vacation!

Beautiful home!
This home was beautiful, communicating with the host was easy. They got back to me very quickly. After having a very bad experience with another rental app, this was so refreshing! The house is stunning and was more than enough room for our group of 5 adults and a toddler. The backyard is beautiful and it’s within walking distance to the beach!

This was our first time at Anna Maria Island. We kept saying throughout the trip how much we loved this home! It was so comfortable, and had everything we needed. The pool and backyard was fabulous. The house is beautifully decorated and well stocked with everything you need. We will definitely be staying at Shell Cottage again!
