We loved the apartment. King size bed in large separate room, good size living area with large balcony over looking the area including mountain and water views. Fully euopped kitchen.
Only negative was the tv wasnt 'smart' so couldnt hook into our viewing options, which was only a problem on day one as this was earmarked as a relax day coming off night shift.
Beautiful accomodation. Loved the simple but delicious breakfast. Loved the night-time port nightcap available in the drawing room. Linda was very approachable and friendly. Great location with lots of great spots within easy walking distance. We had a beautiful stay. Thank you
Great place to stay. The manor was spotless, staff were helpful, room was large and offered all we needed including ensuite. Definitely would stay again.
This was the 2nd time I have stayed here - for three nights on this occasion. The decor of the front bedroom, with its beautiful curtains and 4-poster bed is delightful and comfortable and the room where one can have a glass of port (gratis) is charming. My only sadness was that the fabulous breakfasts provided by the previous owners was no longer available, but the self-service “continental” breakfast was perfectly adequate.
Manor is nice, room is ok and comfortable enough, and no one is at hotel upon check-in which has issues of its own. Staff service was poor.
Upon arriving for breakfast I was loudly accosted by staff member in front of all other guests that their was a problem with my booking and that the owner was repeatedly trying to contact me. This was weird as I called the number back the previous day and was told by a staff member that they weren’t sure why owner had called and she wasn’t sure why and told me not to worry about it.
I told this to the person whom didn’t seem to mind airing this all to the entire room eating breakfast. It was rude to do, plus I was not even greeted by staff member, offered a a pot of coffee like all other breakfast guests had or told anything about breakfast options. Staff member was way more concerned with yelling at me about issue. I was quite embarrassed and made me feel so uncomfortable that I couldn’t eat and left to go back to my room feeling horrible.
I contacted owner and sorted problem as their was a number wrong on my card I booked with. I told the Owner of what just occurred during breakfast and he said, he would have a chat with Staff but didn’t seem to really care too much.
I have worked in hospitality industry for over 20 years and the experience put a bad taste in my mouth. There is a way to chat to a person if a problem occurs and not make them feel any less of a guest than the rest of the customers. Shame.
