Super clean, lots of free amentities and in a great location. Super quiet so a great place for some sleep, but very thin mattresses meant it was uncomfortable at times.
I just LOVED this capsule hotel!! It is so conveniently located next to the train station surrounded by so many dining options as well.
The women's capsule area was so well thought out. They had a powder room, an area with locks to put your suitcases, little dressing rooms with curtains and a large mirror, very nice shower capsule with a basket to put your toiletries so they don't get wet.
I also loved the common room which has a machine where you can enjoy free hot drinks. It also has tables, a vending machine with drinks and cup noodles, plus an area with a large screen to watch tv. On the same floor as the lounge area is a restaurant with delicious skewers for a very affordable price.
the capsules themselves are very cozy, complete with a little TV and headphone set.
The hotel was conveniently located near the station, so it was easy for us to come and go. They also allowed us to keep our bags there before check-in, so that made it easier for us to walk around town.
Basically you can turn up with no luggage at all and this place will clothe you feed you soup and coffee and you’ll wake up fresh as a daisy for more travel. There is a secure place for your luggage if you bring any , good showers and loos (and a great on sen nearby) the place is spotless and it is surely the future for budget hotel. Shinkansen station 5 mins away. The castle is a 25 min walk. We had a 4 bed dorm to ourselves (3) for under £100.
I assume that this is a typical capsule hotel. We were a group of 4 (myself, my husband, our daughter, and our niece) so we were able to get an entire room to ourselves that had the 4 capsules inside of it. This is a TINY space people, we packed light (one carryon and one backpack per person) and there was zero floor space left. The bed is a thin pad that is typical of Japanese futons. So, if you were hoping for a soft bed you will be disappointed. But, the room was pleasantly cool although we had to leave our capsule curtains open as there was no vent or fan inside of the capsule. I imagine that this would be a problem if you needed to close the curtain.
Overall it was very clean and the service was great. The proximity to the train station was perfect. Himeji was our favorite castle/palace that we saw in our 3 week trip.
