Several exciting activities are available just outside your door! Grab your clubs and make a day of George Fazio Golf Course or work on that tan of yours at Palmetto Dunes Beach. Rent a few beach cruisers and enjoy the lush greenery with a bike tour of the island. Take a trip a bit farther away and window-shop at Coligny Beach Plaza with local boutiques galore. Though the swell on the island isn't usually large, the surfers of the family can catch a few waves at Burkes Beach (four miles northeast).

Great Location. Experience could be Better

This is our third time staying at Turnberry in Palmetto Dunes and was by far, the worst of the three. Note, if you stay in PD the beach access is amazing and the nearby restaurants and shopping are equally as great. What went well: the space seems newly remodeled and is beautiful inside. Again, location is amazing, well furnished. What could improve: Previous renter’s trash left over (Gross), had to check in 45 min late (with groceries in car) because cleaning crew had not finished and noted running behind due to missing necessities?, planned to use grill but it was disgusting with old food left on it, wet towels left in wash and dryer from I assume previous owner, have to go outside PD to get welcome packet at Vacasa Most important: Contacted Vacasa twice to report issues with no response during our stay Overall this is a good space, but not comparable to other stays in the same area. Mostly due to cleanliness and ability to communicate with property management.
