Nestling in beautiful grounds, the cottage has outside terraces and secret gardens, perfect for relaxing and taking in the sounds of the birds and the beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
Inside it is charming and quirky. The open-plan living space and dining area are perfect for that special get-together with friends or family. There is a large wood burner for the cooler nights, with comfy sofas to curl up on. The cottage has a wonderful homely feel to it. Comfortably catering for up to six people, with a well-equipped shaker-style kitchen and modern appliances. Should you wish to rustle up brunch or a hearty supper? Upstairs are three good-sized bedrooms with king-size, and twin beds. The front bedroom has doors leading out onto a spacious decked balcony where you can sit and enjoy views of the gardens and beyond. A large bathroom with sumptuous underfloor heating completes this floor. Outside is where the fun begins. Find a quiet spot to read a book, or set the table and enjoy an al fresco supper. Steps lead off into a secluded garden with fruit trees and benches to sit and a raised pergola, a Zen garden for a perfect spot to sit and enjoy a glass of bubbly.

An elevated decking area sits in the farthest spot with uninterrupted views of the countryside beyond. Out and about this is a fabulous place to explore with so much to see and do. Set on the edge of the Northumberland National Park, the location is excellent for exploring the spectacular scenery of the north of England, the Scottish borderland and the Lake District National Park, which is just an hour away. Nearby you can discover the Vindolanda Roman Fort, The Sill Landscape Discovery Centre and the world-famous Sycamore Gap on Hadrian’s Wall. Also within easy reach is Haltwhistle, which is the ‘Geographic Centre of Britain’, with a sports centre and outdoor heated swimming pools, and Burn Gorge. A must-visit is the historic market town of Hexham, which boasts a stunning abbey, the oldest gaol in the country, and an abundance of eclectic shops, restaurants and pubs. Continue to the beautiful Roman town of Corbridge and meander around its boutique shops, art galleries and antique shops, stop for a coffee or take a stroll along the river. Locally there is an abundance of eateries to choose from. A nearby inn serving good food and ales offers astronomers a star gazing experience and is a 20-minute walk away, with nearby Haltwhistle, Bardon Mill and Hexham offering a range of pubs and restaurants.
