It was perfect, good value for money and a lovely quiet location. Staff were friendly and the rooms were lovely. Views were fab and the pub was povely too. Will definitely be returning!

What a lovely period place, but with all mod cons, to stay. Had a lovely meal in the pub, staff were lovely and the breakfast plentiful. What more could you want.

A great place as a base to visit Herefordshire. The food in the pub was all freshly cooked to order and there was a good selection of beers and wines. The staff were excellent particularly the bar manager (Cam), he was totally aware of customer needs throughout the pub. The Arkwright room was a good size, well equipped and clean however, the stairs to the raised bed area could be a problem for some people and the bathroom is downstairs. Overall, for us, it was exactly what we were looking for and the rates were very reasonable. The continental breakfast self served in the communal breakfast room was enough to set us up for the day. I would stay there again.

Good location for travelling overnight. Quiet at night. Do it yourself continental breakfast - would have liked plain yoghurt only flavoured on provided. Fruit choices only banana /apple! We were able to book a table for evening meal but staying guests not reserved a table ,so prior reservation required.

we were very impressed with the value of England's Gate .Plenty of convenient parking, the room, although small, was immaculately clean, very well and comprehensively equipped. there was also a generous hospitality tray. Breakfast is DIY but do not judge! The selection of food on offer is wide, a choice of hot drinks, juices, yogurts, cereals, fresh fruit and bakery goods is enormous. We also dined in the restaurant were we had good food at sensible prices. Nothing not to like about this place, we would not hesitate to return.

The young staff did their best, however the photo I saw and confirmed for my stay showed a double bed,I actually got a single bed , which felt extremely soft and small.I expected more from alledged boutique hotel,make your own breakfast too,easy money I guess if we are dumb enough to fall for it.

Great suite...only.slight niggle was the skylight had no blind so was woken early in the morning. There were fixings for a blind but for some reason, there was no blind present

This was mine & my fiancé first time at England's Gate Inn & Coach House and we booked on the spur of the moment for a weekend getaway & we're so pleased we did! We had the Chilman room with a private entrance & what a view we had from our huge super king-size bed from our private door! Just hope they get the handles fixed on the private doors fixed for our next visit but that's a small thing,and the food next door was awesome! Enough said thoroughly enjoyed ourselves 10/10
