Backing onto ancient woodland, we’ve opened up this late 18th century cottage to combine the kitchen and sitting room. This open plan creates a surprisingly fresh, contemporary feel. But because we’ve used traditional materials of brick and wood throughout, the heritage of the property still shines through. Downstairs there is a large wood burner, and we’ve converted the former coal store into a cosy single bedroom. By the backdoor there is a utility room and WC. Upstairs there are two further bedrooms, both with kingsize beds, and a bath/shower room. 2 Stonedelph also has a large fully enclosed patio with outside seating, and a generous garden.

Beautiful cottage
A beautifully decorated cottage and very relaxing. Beds are extremely comfortable. A very well equipped kitchen. The garden was perfect for our dog, with plenty of space for her to run around. The grounds of the estate are fantastic, we spent many an hour wandering around and discovering them.

We had a great time staying at Stonedelph cottage. The cottage is well designed and very comfortable. The fixtures and fittings are good quality and everything you need is provided. The surroundings are beautiful and we enjoyed using the games room in the evening. The wider area of Sussex has plenty of walks and places of interest. We felt well rested staying at Lydhurst Estate and hope to return soon. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Beautiful property and great hosts!
My colleagues stayed at the property and they were blown away. They arrived to a bottle of wine which was a lovely touch after a long hard day out in the field and the house had everything they needed, the decor was great! and beds were comfy!
