You will find the best of northern Wisconsin upon arriving - whether you're looking for a northwoods escape or the charm of being on the lake, you'll find both at our SOL retreat cabin located deep in the woods surrounded by mighty trees while also having access to all that beautiful Round Lake has to offer just down the grass path. At your cabin getaway, you will find a gorgeous, vaulted great room with a cozy fireplace to sit around and make memories. Or step out the back door to the magic of relaxing under the patio lights around a campfire surrounded by the sounds of nature. There is a newly remodeled kitchen with all you will need to indulge in your favorite meals and treats. A walk down the path will bring you to your dock where you can tie up your watercraft of choice for your water adventures. There is an adorable 3-par golf course less than a mile away and the world famous Birkebeiner trail is a 15 minute drive away. You are also a short drive to miles and miles of hiking, biking, ATVing, snowmobiling, and skiing trails. If shopping and dining are on your must-do list, Hayward's beautiful downtown is only a 20 minute drive away.

The owners had the right amount of extras that if you forgot sides you would have something. There was also cleaning if you needed. It was also nice there were kiaks on docks. I used one and took kids out one at a time. Location great being near state and national parks. Ton of outdoor things all over. Cabin was very nice and a good size for 2 familys. Kids enjoyed the long driveway, bunks, and stairs. They did not want to leave.

Nice stay in Hayward
Property is super comfortable and clean. Feels like staying at a friends cabin. Very private. Nice outdoor patio. Per other reviews, there is no ant problem at all and ac works fine. Internet/tv still spotty however. Dock is a short walk away as was said by others. It was fine for launching our paddleboards from and cruising around mud lake into musky bay on big round. Dock is on the shallow end so if bringing a bigger boat there may be an issue. Near cabin if your towing a boat with a truck you may have issues turning around. I have a jeep so i had no issues. My father in law has a large boat and truck and found it difficult. Otherwise we found the place perfect for our nedds. Kitchen and bedrooms fully furnished. Good communication with owner. Would definitely reccomend!

Perfect for a Family
My family was looking for a place in Hayward that would accommodate our family, plus my dad, and our dog. We found this place with one available week left during the summer, so we took a gamble. Layout was great with the bunk room for the kids. The loft bedroom did get a little warm (and does not have a door), but overall not a deal breaker for us. Kitchen is fully equipped. Dock is across the road (as other reviews stated); however, I think it works perfectly when you have little kids. Location is great...not too far from town, but definitely quiet and peaceful (bring bug spray!). It was great having the ability to use the grill and firepit. Can't say enough about the hospitality of the owners...they were wonderful! The wifi was very intermittent, but turned out to be a blessing as we were forced to unplug and just spent quality time making lots of great memories. A few housekeeping issues, but not at the fault of the owners. Definitely recommend and we will hopefully be back.

Cabin was nice with plenty of beds and room. Disappointed that the dock wasn’t what I expected from the listing. Note at the cabin said the dock was the neighbors. We founds lots of black ants in the kitchen and lower bedroom so we purchased new ant traps then found lots of them in the garage. Apparently this has been a problem before. I liked the privacy of the cabin and the location was easy to get to. Everything we needed was there and kitchen was well equipped. Trailered my boat every day but parking was difficult right by the cabin. Overall was a nice and comfortable place.

Relaxing getaway!
Our family rented this cabin for a long weekend and had a great time! Nice wooded lot and the lake was just a short walk away. We had a fire in the backyard and enjoyed stargazing. Abundant wildlife! The cabin layout was perfect for the four of us. Very convenient location and a short distance to Hayward. We would definitely stay again!

Great getaway in the woods
Great location off the beaten path and better than expected. It’s better in person. We rent a lot of cabins in MN and WI and we camp a lot as well, this property was a great fit for what we were looking for - relaxing weekend to unwind in the North woods. Would recommend for families.

Perfect Cabin
We had a perfect family get-a-way at Megan's Snowy Owl Lane Cabin. Everything is as advertised. The cabin is wonderful. Three separate bedrooms with space to spread out. The backyard area is perfect with room to relax by yourself or spend time with your family around the fire. The Cabin sits in a perfect "Up North" setting and offers seclusion you are seeking. It sits in a quiet Bay, but provides access to the full recreation and boating of Round Lake. This isn't a cabin that is just another rental Up North. You truly can tell this is a family cabin filled with Memories and Love. Thank you Megan for sharing your family's cabin with our Family.

Family vacation
The cabin was very nice and just the right size for what were were looking for. We loved the big closets and laundry area to store some of our things. The garage was a bonus to keep our coolers in. We did have an ant problem in the kitchen by the sink but we managed okay. The property was not located on the water but it was and easy walk to the dock ( a little shallow and muddy so not deep enough to bring a pontoon to that side of the lake). The marina was not far so everything worked out okay. The cabin was a cozy little get away and Hayward is a cute town with lots of little shops. Megan the owner was very easy to communicate with if we had any questions. We had a great time!!

Everything was as advertised, great communication from Megan the owner. The rental had everything we needed, with zero issues. Close to great restaurants and Hayward but far enough away to be secluded and away from the noise. Fishing was good, Round lake is a beautiful lake. Hope to make it back in the near future 👍
